Hello everyone!
Matte lipsticks take the second place in my heart after eyeshadow palettes. In my collection, you can find the matte, glossy, bullet and liquid lipsticks. Today, we’ll talk about a lipstick released by Rihanna from Fenty Beauty brand!
What do they say about it?
A weightless, longwear liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish—born in a range of head-turning shades that look incredible on all skin tones.
When life’s all about taking risks, wearing liquid lipstick shouldn’t be one of them. Enter Stunna Lip Paint: The love child of high-impact color and low-maintenance longwear—now in a range of head-turning shades that’s got everyone’s name on them. Each shade was hand-picked by Rihanna and created to look incredible on everyone

Packaging and applicator
Primary, the lipstick was packed in a matte trendy box with all the possible information: from the list of ingredients, naming and picture of the shade to the batch-code. On the front, it has the glossy black ground with the branded logo.
As for the lipstick itself, it’s a gem on my vanity: packed in a “plastic glass tube," it really reminds me of a nail polish, while the applicator is adorned with a beautiful glossy “handle."
By the way, the cat-paw applicator is something new. I’ve never seen anything of the kind from other brands before. It does its job excellently and thanks to the small size, I can easily cover even my lip corners.
In comparison with other brands, here the applicator appears the tiniest.
Swatches and use
The first thing that I’d like to note is the runny consistency of the product. It’s like water. It’ll run down if you take out too much.
Here, the point is that Rihanna called it “fluid," not just lipstick. In the beauty world, fluid means something lightweight, airy and no way thick. And that’s true here!
Let’s find everything out!
The product smells like correction fluid. If you ever had a lipstick from NYX Lingerie collection, you’ll know what I mean. In the swatches, have a look at what it looks like under different lights. By the way, if the lights are artificial, it may shift to pink hue, while in the dark, the coverage appears more mauve and brown.
The numbers are the layers I applied.

Lamplights:
It’s noteworthy, packing doesn’t affect the payoff which means the product lives up to its promises.
Before use, I always shake the tube and wipe off the applicator. After that, I apply a lip balm on top with a thin coat.
Right after the application, natural daylight:
In the lamplight, the lipstick is more like pink nude.
The product doesn’t dry out my lips, yet I’m still very demanding to my “before” lip condition.
It will accentuate all your lip blemishes and flaking.
After setting we can see smooth coverage, as though my lips were filled. It doesn’t crease even within 12 hours, it’s still there.
When I apply it, it feels like the Lime Crime Plushies lipstick, the same lightweight and thin layer.
But in real life, the coverage is so thick and pigmented that it looks like I applied a thick matte liquid lipstick.
The only gripe in this section is that the product takes too long to set.
More than 10 minutes needed!
As for the swatches, I tried to wash them off with water and then with a cleansing oil. That was wasteful!
Comparison with other lipstick and are there any dupes?
I compared it with more or less similar shades of liquid lipstick and packages.
From up to down:
- Huda beauty liquid matte - trophy wife
- Lime Crime Plushies - Milk Tea
- Kat Von D - Lolita II
- Lime Crime Velvetines -Riot
- Sephora - №83 Cinder Rose
- Sephora - №72 Alter-ego
- Fenty Beauty
- Too Faced Melted Matte - Pumpkin Spice
- Lime Crime Velvetines - Cindy
And a close-up:
The most similar shade-wise is the Plush from LimeCrime. But Fenty has pink undertone while Plush is brown.
Texture-wise, this lipstick is closer to Huda.
However, it wins all the lipsticks applicator-wise.
In my collection, I haven’t found any dupes. Besides, I haven’t seen such a formula in the market yet.
Removing and staying power
It can be removed well only with a special long-wearing makeup remover. I can take it off on the first go with the Clarins Instant eye make-up remover. Cleansing oils or micellar water can barely do anything about it.
The staying power is awesome if I don’t eat anything super fatty.
The full coverage stays on up till the end of my working day and before I remove it. That’s 12 hours!
In the picture above, you can see the lipstick which lived through several bites with hot tea and a killing-for-a-lipstick meal. Even though its staying power is great, it still stains dishes. But I don’t find it crucial.
Overall
You’ll have to look through its all pros and cons to make up your mind on whether you need this product or not:
Pros:
+ lightweight, yet thick coverage;
+ staying power;
+ beautiful design;
+ it doesn’t crease or dry out my lips;
+ easy and precise application, thanks to the “cat-paw” applicator.
Cons
- it smells like correcting fluid;
- it takes long to set, so it isn’t transfer-proof during kisses;
- probably the price might be a con but now all the lipsticks from such brands cost this way.
And answering the question from the title, I’m saying that this lipstick did replace my faves because this is the only lightweight lippie which I can apply in the morning and forget about it. I don’t have to bother with touch-ups. 😂
Thanks for reading! ❤
