I think one should never cut corners on foundation, because even if your eyes and lips are perfect, bad foundation can ruin it all. So I think foundation is the most important part of makeup.
Lately, I preferred Korean BB creams over regular foundations, so using this Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation was a new fresh experience for me.
Price: $42.00
Color: 4 Light Golden
I own a miniature, which is housed in a little tube with no dispenser.
The formula is runny, airy and weightless and totally lives up to the description.
Ingredients:
The lightweight formula is easy to spread on my skin with fingers only. As always, I don’t use any brushes or sponges.
Coverage:
The foundation instantly shows a nice velvety finish.
It’s not oily, like many other foundations, no, this fluid seems to dry quickly.
I apply my BB creams onto a primer that hides my large pores. I did the same with Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.
In this photo you can see a huge difference. The foundation did truly make my skin silky and matte. Also, no face shine appeared throughout the day. The foundation hides red spots and gives an even coverage without the cakey look. However, it does not cover all imperfections. Big acne will be visible as well as blackheads on the nose.
Color:
4 - Light Golden has a pink undertone on my tanned hand, but it looks simply perfect on my face.
Skin type:I have combination skin with an oily forehead and dry cheeks. Now when it’s cold, my nose is flaking too.So, all such dry spots get emphasized by the foundation. I think it’s not what a dry skin needs. Maybe it will suit those with normal or oily skin.
Also I must note that my huge pores (which I do my best to hide) are visible with this foundation
Dunno, maybe I’m being picky but I can clearly see in the photos that the foundation falls into deep pores.
Longevity and taking off
The foundation lasts all day and can be removed with any makeup remover. Also, it does leave my pores without any problems. I use a cleansing oil and then a face foam.
Here is how I removed the foundation with micellar water.
In general, I liked this. But as it turns out, this foundation isn’t designed for all skin type.
