For a long time I was looking for a foundation that would be long lasting and nice to wear, with a decent SPF and, most importantly, that would cause no allergy reactions or breakouts. This bottle was chosen out of the five options presented by the beauty consultant. As a result, it’s been six months, and I bought my second bottle of this.
GIVENCHY promises:
Teint Couture Fluid's lightweight and long-wearing texture glides over the skin to diffuse imperfections and impart a luminous, smoothing veil. Its fine and silky formula provides custom coverage with a satin finish while a Hydro-Magnets Complex moisturizes and a magnetic polymer provides a long-wearing effect.
The foundation comes housed in a glass bottle with the cap that imitates metal. Size: 0,8 oz. Made in France. My shade is Elegant Beige (4).
The glass is break-proof (believe me), the pump is handy, the cap is easy to take off and doesn’t get lost. Nice to the touch and to look at.
Ingredients:
Active: Titanium Dioxide 2.92% Inactive: Aqua, Methyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, Alcohol, PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Isododecane, Butylene Glycol, Silica, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Cetyl Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate, VP/VA Copolymer, Propylene Carbonate, Fragrance, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Chloride, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, BHT, Smithsonite Extract, Geraniol, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides.
The formula is medium thick and easy to apply, and be layered. The fragrance is subtle.
The foundation has a medium coverage, so you’ll need a concealer for big imperfections.
What concerns the lasting power: I didn’t have the possibility to find out if it’s really 15 hours because I don’t wear my makeup for so long (max. 8 hours), but once, the foundation survived a long dancing party.
I apply it either with a flat brush or simply with fingers. My skin is moisturized beforehand. I use the foundation in the under eye zone too, and it doesn’t dry the skin out or crease. Dark circles are covered.
Also, I believe that a good foundation must be invisible. This one meets this requirement.
I don’t feel any moisturizing effect and I don’t comprehend how a foundation full of silicones can provide one, but there is no dryness, clogged pores or breakouts after this. It isn’t patchy and that’s enough for me.
The bottom line: It’s just a quality foundation for healthy skin. Pricey, but I think the price is justified. Though of course I wouldn’t spend my last money on it, because such foundations only complement your skincare routine but cannot replace it.
