I’m pretty much delighted with mass-market products: price, quality, result, but… I wanted to try out the high end Guerlain! I chose the universal product, as I thought, would be really versatile and multi-functional. At first I want to show you my babe from all sides, but still it’ll be impossible to show you all the emotions and aesthetic delight I got when I opened this packaging with amazing design and stunning scent of the luxurious, expensive cosmetic product.

Description:

Intangible, lightweight and iridescent bronzing powder. GUERLAIN Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder enhances the complexion and makes it glow. A real mosaic of colours, this light bronzing powder is a unique combination of five shades warmed with subtly mixed golden particles for a delicate tan.

The complexion is sunny, subtly iridescent, sheer and ultra-luminous. Terracotta Light is available in harmonies that adapt to all skin tones.

Directions for use:

GUERLAIN Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder can be applied in two different ways:

- all-over for an unbelievably natural and incredibly chic tan: sweep a light veil all over the face in a "3" shape, from the forehead to the cheekbones and down to the chin.

- in touches for a sun-kissed effect: intensify the top of the cheekbones to the brow bone for a perfectly sculpted face.

Ingredients:

talc, nylon-12, lauroyl lysine, magnesium myristate, octyldodecyl stearoyl stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, boron nitride, dimethicone, pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate, zinc stearate, acrylates copolymer, glycerin, serine, parfum, allantoin, caprylyl glycol, pentylene glycol, tocopheryl acetate, sorbic acid, tocopheryl linoleate, sodium hyaluronate, limonene, benzyl salicylate, linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone, citronellol, hexyl cinnamal, cinnamyl alcohol, geraniol, eugenol, benzyl alcohol, mica, cI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77163

Weight: 10g. Despite me being blonde, I sill opted for the “tanned” color, as I think such colors suit me most of all for bronzers.

This is how the product shines when it’s sunny, or in flash light.

In the daylight it looks much calmer.

And that’s all. There are no more advantages of this product Smile

The color is, to put it mildly, red. It doesn’t look like a annoying tanned color I’m got so used to, no! If you look at all the colors from this mosaic palette, they might look ideal: brown, peachy, beige. They seem right, but on my face they mix together and look awful.

DISADVANTAGES:

* the powder is difficult to translate on my skin. I tried all my brushes, but it was in vain.

* The super light texture isn’t able to give at least a hint of coverage! What’s the reason to buy it then? For a light glow I can easily get by with my highlighter product.

* This bronzer doesn’t suit my oily skin type. It settles into my pores and applies unevenly.

* The surface of the product becomes greasy VERY QUICKLY! The hard film makes it impossible to pick up the product with brushes or my fingertips. I’ve never had this problem before. I googled it and found out that it wasn’t only me to face this problem. Why none of the beauty bloggers have announced this problem? Or is it only me with oily skin on the planet Earth? I guess that nobody just wanted to say bad things about Guerlain. Smile

So, I have to clean my powder from time to time, I mean I gently scrape off the hard film to get down to fresh powder. And if you think that my brushes are dirty or something, I want to reassure you again that I hold this experiment even with clean brushes, but faced the same problem after a while. The brush itself makes the powder impossible to translate, even before it touches my skin.

* Since there’s a problem described above, the spending of the product becomes really huge! I have to scratch it with a knife every other day I use it. It seems as though I scratch off my money and throw them in a trash bin.

* As for glowing skin, that’s true. You will have your skin glowing, of course if you manage to transfer some powder to your skin. But the lie comes to “sun-kissed” look. My skin looks yellow then, not at all tanned.

Since I love and respect the Guerlain brand very much, I tried to give this product a go hundreds of times. At first I used to think that the fault was in my brushes. But even my favorite universal powder and blush brush, which never lets me down, couldn’t do anything about this bronzer.

I tried to use this product as a finishing powder, as well as bronzing, but no! I’ve never came closer to the desired beautiful healthy glowing, sun-kissed look.

So, judging by my experience, I don’t recommend this product for those who have oily or porous skin, as well as to those whose skin is problematic with acne scars, blemishes, pimples etc. This is my own subjective opinion. If you don’t agree with me, then spend $57 on it and I’m eager to read your review Wink

Thanks for your attention to my review!

Have a good shopping day! Smile
