Finally I'm ready to make a review of one of the most popular bronzers by NARS in the color Laguna. I knew about it while watching YouTube when every beauty blogger used to praise it. A year after, they all started to call the NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder a must-have among bronzers and contour products.
I couldn’t resist and also bought this must-have for me.
Some time later I really tested out this bronzer, gathered some photos and even managed to compare it with some other popular bronzing powders. And now I’m eager to share my impressions with you!
Taking the ball before the bound, I want to say that my review will be rather long and if you are here only to watch the comparison photos of Benefit Hoola, Nars Laguna and Mac Harmony, then here are they.
If I blend them out thoroughly then the difference between all of them on the face won’t look so obvious.
Loosely speaking, Benefit and NARS are very alike. (NARS Laguna is golden shimmer infused but the shimmer isn’t visible on the skin, while Benefit Hoola is totally matte). As for the MAC Harmony, well this one is truly red-toned.
Taking into the consideration the technical characteristics (staying power, application, build-ability, blending), then the NARS takes the cake.
Let’s come back to the Laguna Bronzing Powder and have a look at the compact. Ultimately NARS is the professional cosmetics brand hence the compacts must be stylish and very comfortable to use.
Big rubberized compact with a huge mirror inside where you can see yourself full length reflected, joking.
After the carton housed Benefit product and inconvenient MAC packaging, the NARS compact looks gorgeous.
Shade:
I wanted a bronzer, as well as a bronzer to be used as a contouring product. I mean I didn’t want it to be warm-toned and looking cool-toned only after proper blending out. I wanted my bronzer to be matte, though the Laguna shade is shimmer infused, but it’s visible only on the swatch and then it magically disappears somewhere leaving a beautiful glowing cast on my skin.
Now it’s time to have a look at the product in action. Will it be ready to find and define my cheekbones?
So, what’s the NARS Laguna product?
1) It’s a multi-purpose product that can make your cheekbones defined without looking muddy.
2) This is the product with the help of which you can make your complexion sunkissed with no nasty shimmer glow.
3) The product that will hold on the entire working day and even longer.
4) The product that even a newbie will blend out beautifully.
5) It’s a product that is impossible to overdo, which will never look patchy or streaky.
6) This is the very product that is so nice to throw in your makeup bag and take out each time you need to touch-up, feeling no embarrassment.

That’s pricey, but it’s a high-end product after all.
And now the comparison with the so hyped NYX Taupe color and D&G Tan!
These are perfect products for contouring of right grey undertone.
So, it’s clear that NARS Laguna is a fine bronzing powder. Yet it’s only a bronzer for me, not the contouring product, alas.
Maybe in summer I should try to contour my face with it!
