This product from Hard Candy accidentally caught my eye. The shade seemed interesting and it didn’t take me long to buy it.
You can buy it in beauty stores or beauty sections of Walmart, for instance.
Also, they have an official website store.
The price was $7 for an item (+ tax).
The product wasn’t packed or wrapped and it looks this way:
These are 2 see-through tubes which are connected with a small silver separation. The outer appearance is rather cute. The packaging is compact and handy to use.
Both parts of the product close safely and never pop open. Also, these are great as a travel-friendly option.
The applicators look the following way:
And the second one:
They’re the same, soft to some extent and pleasant to the touch.
They pick up the optimal amount of the liquid and apply it well on my eyes. They don’t leave any streaky or splotchy finishes behind.
Shelf life: 6 months of opening
Size: 4.6g (chrome) and 4.4g (glitter)
Shades- Mine is called Shooting Star. For me, it seems to be versatile, even though the color line-up is huge. For instance, the shade Super Nova is emerald. It’s also gorgeous but not as hyped and wearable.
One tube houses liquid chrome eyeshadow. It already looks fabulous even in the tube.
The consistency of the product is liquid to some rate, easy to apply over my skin and the texture is thick and pigmented.
The smell is here and it smells typical for such a product. I can’t say that it’s pleasant but I don’t even make it out when I wear or apply the product on my eyes.
The second compartment is glitter eyeshadow. Its texture is way chunkier and glittery which reflects all the lights that it catches. It’s also eye-catching and so beautiful.
It has the same consistency as the first one, while the texture is more lightweight and the color is less pigmented.
I can feel some aroma but I don’t think it’s unique or standing out. It’s the same as in the first tube but here it’s more pleasant, I’d say. Again, I don’t feel it afterwards.
I didn’t analyze the list of ingredients but still, I’d like to cite it below because maybe you’ll find it important:

Chrome: it’s beautiful over my skin and I love that its patch- and splotch-free. The coverage is even and smooth. This is what it looks like over my skin under different angles and lights.
I don’t even have to pack it. It’s also a great eyeshadow primer, by the way.
You can even fit it into your daily makeup if you apply the tiniest bit of it with your finger, for instance.
The glitter shade isn’t so vibrant as the chrome one. It’s chunkier in texture and those bits sparkle in the light.
This is what it looks like under artificial lights: (the one on the top)
The flashlight reveals them and they both open up and appear bolder and more pigmented:
By the way, while I was taking the pictures of the chrome shade, I somehow understood that it looks like the JUVENILE shade from ColourPop. Have a look:
They are similar not only in the shade but also in coverage.
With a flash:
This is where the difference is more obvious yet still not striking. In fact, since their price tags are more or less equal, it’s obvious that Hard Candy eyeshadow is more profitable, given that it offers 2 products.
In all other characteristics, the Hard Candy and ColourPop products are identical.
I love this Hard Candy product because:
The shades are gorgeous and pigmented. Besides, the color selection is wide and everyone will find their favorite shade in the collection.
The texture is pleasant to the touch and they both apply well on my skin with a smooth layer. No patchy finish.
The formula is long-wearing and you won’t have to bother about it during the day.
It doesn’t crease and sets quickly which saves a lot of time.
The size is big and it’ll go a long way.
The spending is pleasant, I need a minute amount for one use.
I don’t feel them on my eyes, as a result, no tugging sensation.
Honestly, I could have never even guessed that this spontaneous purchase might be such a success for me. I haven’t found any drawbacks about it.
The quality is great while the price is affordable. I’ll definitely look for other shades for me because the technical characteristics of the product are awesome.
Beautiful shades, convenient packaging, impressive wear time, user-friendly tubes, all that makes the product a real discovery.
