Hello everybody!
I’ve been using this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette for a year now and it has truly become my fave among all the other powders that I own.
The palette was packed with a cardboard box at first. It had all the info about the ingredients and names of the powders.
By the way, the product was manufactured in Italy and if we are to believe their words, then they don’t test it on animals.
The compact is glossy and it looks posh, but impractical, as it always picks up all the fingerprints. The product is rather small and handy. I always take this palette with me when I’m travelling. You can fix the opened top lid at any angle you like and use the provided mirror if you don’t have any other at your disposal at the moment. The mirror is quality, no distortion.
So, let’s speak about the powders.
These are the best powders that I’ve ever tested. My skin looks younger and photoshopped if I wear them. It literally glows with health. This effect is especially visible in the photos.
Of course the results don’t look so obvious in life, but in the pictures these powders really make MY SKIN LOOK GLOWING. I recognized the DIM LIGHT powder on my friend’s skin and it looked flawless. I accidentally met her in a shopping mall (by artificial lights of course).
A photo by the sunlight:
Dim Light – it’s a more beige shade. I’m bad at describing shades beautifully and correctly, but I presume that this very powder might not flatter fair-skinned girls. It makes my skin look photoshopped and glowing from within (that’s subjective). I use it all over my face, applying with a thin layer. This powder comes only with one shade, so make sure to test it before purchasing.
Incandescent Light - glistening powder, a highlighter, which I also manage to apply all over my skin (if I’m planning to spend the day indoors). The powder has visible pearlescent particles of nice mill. Yes, they are shining and visible in the sun, but I don’t see them in shadow. It’s a shimmering product, of nice grain, that is stunning, yet detectable. Maybe the word “shimmer” sounds too cruel for these powders, but you should bare it in mind. Naturally I apply it with the thinnest layer of all the products.
Radiant Light - this one is a bronzing powder of a gentle beige-yellow color. It also has detectable tiny and delicate particles, which really make my skin tanned and healthy.
The blending is so easy that I have an impression that powders blend out themselves once I touch them with a brush.
Final thoughts: I definitely recommend this palette, as well as the powders separately in pans. All three are of silky texture and fine grain (really fine). I appreciate the photoshop effects it shows on my skin. A little goes a long way. These powders are such a must-have for photoshoots.
