Hey!
Huda Beauty.. I guess there’s nobody who hasn't heard of this brand. If you haven’t yet, then you definitely have seen its products!
So, this is me who couldn’t resist and also bought these famous Lip Strobes by the brand. Sounds promising, doesn’t it?
The product was packed into a rather simple see-through plastic box. The presentation is beautiful. Of course the lips that keep the lip gloss with holographic shine look fab, though the package is flimsy and arrived already scratched.
It looks funny once you take out the lip gloss.
So, here it is. Good quality heavy plastic tube with a glossy cap, which doesn’t gather fingerprints, to my surprise. It looks like brand new. For the 4 months of use there isn’t a letter that disappeared even though I was always carrying it with me in a purse.
The product is made in Italy and has 4 ml of the formula.
At first I was a little bit upset that the size of the product was too small. But since it's richly saturated with pigment, the spending turns minimal, so now it’s fine for me.
You’ll find all the product info on the back, like ingredients, etc.
The applicator is doe-foot. It’s of average size and is very convenient to work with. In my opinion it’ll be nice for any lip shape. Moreover, the doe-foot allows me to outline my lips easily which is quite a rare occasion for a liquid lipstick like this one.
What’s more, it takes out a lot of the product so I always have to wipe the applicator on the rims of the tube. Since the product is very well pigmented I need the tiniest bit to apply all over my lips.
I also have one mini package of the second shade from this set.
By the way, it isn’t as big as I expected and the box is of the same size as the packaging of the first full sized shade.
This is how it looks inside.
All the technical characteristics of a mini and full sized Strobes are the same, except for the size, of course.
The mini houses half of the full sized product - just 2 ml.
So now the swatches.
So, the first is the most hyped Angelic shade.
It’s such a
warm-toned golden pink shade with a true peach note to it. It shines golden and looks stunning on my lips!
And here it’s close to the second shade which is called Ritzy. This is the true golden shade that looks fairly light.
The products aren’t icky at all. I can feel only comfort wearing them. They are both very well pigmented and I need a small drop to apply over my lips for the promised strobe effect.
They work nice alone as well as if used as a lipstick topper. On the swatch above I barely touched my skin with the applicator. It’s pleasant that they don’t crease with the white film on my lips. A slight vanilla scent is here, and it isn’t chasing indeed.
I think the wear time is phenomenal for a lip gloss. They stay on up to 6 hours. Of course the formula sinks in a little but the golden cast stays put even after a meal!
The Angelic shade is on my lips here:
I tried my best to take macro shots
The product shows my lips relief a little, but you’ll only see it in photos, not in life from afar.
The peach undertone is reminiscent with my natural lip pigment so this is that same golden strobe effect here. This very shade is magical, I wear it alone, as well as on top of other lipsticks and I do wear it for any occasion. It performs so nicely!
But the second shade Ritzy is more whimsical, I guess. Since it’s fairer and lighter it shows my lip crevices more. Aside from this, it has the same characteristics as the first shade. You’ll get better control of this shade if you apply the smallest amount of it over a creamy lipstick. That way you’ll see the beautiful golden cast that won’t accentuate your lips relief so dreadfully.
You can buy these lip glosses on Cult Beauty. They usually have discounts and promotions like free delivery and small gifts. The full sized product costs £17.00. The set costs £14.17. I bought both of the products with the 15% discount.
Do I like this product? I really do! Lightweight, long-wearing, non-icky lip glosses that you can layer if you want. What can be better? But still there can be problems with some shades, though not actually problems but you’ll have to find a way to tame them.
Will I recommend it for purchasing? Of course I will! I’ve tried out so many lip glosses starting from street brands and finishing with a high-end products. And these are one of the best!
I’d advise you to buy a set as you’ll get a lipstick, a lip liner and a lip gloss that will go together.
I deem it’s a great opportunity to try the three products at once and make up your mind about the brand.
Thanks for your attention to my post!
