Recently I’ve become a lucky owner of the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette.
To tell you the truth, I’d been drooling over the first Rose Gold Palette for a while, but I didn’t buy it, because I watched videos and read reviews that showed me its downsides clearly. The shades were falling out very badly, plus they were hard to apply.
I’m no makeup artist, so I decided that I wouldn’t be buying it.
The Rose Gold Remastered Palette is a relaunch. As they said in their promo videos, all their mistakes were corrected and the palette had a better formula.
So, I thought that the product was well worth a look. I loved the colors and after reading all positive reviews at Cultbeauty, I finally ordered it, which was the right decision!
The palette has a huge mirror inside. Generally, Huda created a similar design that is visually reminiscent of the Desert Dusk eyeshadow palette. Some of its elements overflow in the sun. A leaflet inside has the same design as the palette itself.
It consists of 18 color tones, 9 of which are matte (they actually have some glister to them, but they are undetectable on the eyelids) and 9 are metallics. The latter applies to my lid very well. The texture is buttery and not flakey at all.
Swatches:
The palette is highly pigmented, but the shade Risqué has a setback. It’s obviously streaky and reminds me of the amethyst shade from the Desert Dusk palette.
In general, I couldn’t find any drawbacks yet.
Right off the bat, if you are choosing between Rose Gold Remastered and Desert Dusk palettes, go for the Rose Gold.
The palette has stunning shades that are more wearable in everyday life.
