Hello there!

For years, I was longing to try out Jeffree Star makeup and once I did, I couldn’t resist it anymore. Once I’ve tested out the Jeffree Star Alien palette, I quickly set for this one as well.

This palette hooked me up with its color selection. Everything is bright and bold yet gentle and crazy at the same time. I needed it as a fresh gulp of the air to inspire me in the summer. But it happened that I just got my hands onto it in August. I looked through a thousand reviews of it so I already knew how to treat it and use right. The palette offers not only eyeshadows but pigments as well.

This palette is something that you really can’t expect from Jeffree. Seriously, usually, he releases his palettes which are Alien’s head or red first aid kit or blue coffin. But here we have just a regular palette. And yeah, it’s finally really handy to use, even though I’m not at all against all the creative stuff he does.

Design: The design of the palette is different in the color selection. The palette was inspired by Jawbreaker candy. It actually has all the shades of it inside.

As for the quality, everything is top-notch. All the ends are sealed and there are no scratches on it over time.

Fill weight: 24 shades 1.5g each, 36g in total. That’s much!Made in the USA

Price: $58

Ingredients: it’s given on the paper cover.

The palette closes with magnets. It closes tightly, so pop open will never happen. Also, it’s got a nice big mirror in there.

The color selection is gentle and bold. The shades are not trivial at all. This palette isn’t an everyday option but it’s more for a creative approach.

Swatches: I applied them on my clean dry skin with my fingers first and then with a brush, according to their rows and order in the palette.

  • Virgin - matte white

  • Good morning - the gentlest off-white pink matte

  • Bubble gum - matte pink

  • Wow - matte canary-yellow

  • Suck- bold coral salmon matte shade

  • Licorice- scarlet matte

  • Cute - green-blue matte shade

  • F*ck - matte neon coral

  • Gum drop - matte lavender

  • Snack - metallic rose gold

  • Brain freeze - saturated blue matte shade

  • Jawbreaker - metalized champagne shade

  • And what? - crazy crimson-red shade

  • Orange juice - metallic orange

  • Sour - light green matte shade

  • Soaked - matte blue

  • Raspberry - well-pigmented vinous-crimson-plum color

  • Cotton candy - metallic pink

  • Lemon drop - metallic canary-yellow

  • Bite me - light purple metallic shade

  • Cherry wet - matte pink-crimson

  • Tasty - matte brown

  • Cone - matte beige

  • Delicious - matte navy blue

Pigmentation

  • The matte shades are mainly very well pigmented. They’re all matte though still require a concealer base to reveal their true pigments

  • The shimmering (metallic shades) are insanely pigmented. They’re thick and bold.

Texture

  • The matte colors are mainly gentle, though still, there are some which are dry and I guess they’re pigments. But I can’t say any of them are of truly bad quality. These shades are gentle green and blue ones.

  • The shimmering (metallics) are as though butter to the touch, really gliding and smooth. They literally sit on my brush themselves and then jump onto the skin.

The blending is easy breezy and it won’t be a problem to blend out even those pigments.

Build-up: Also smooth and easy. The matte shades can be packed and darken. They don’t mess up or form patches. The shimmers build into beautiful transitions creating a perfected gradient on my eyes.

Dusting: The matte shades dust a lot, especially when I pick them up. The dusting is the same as of Anastasia shades. Touch them gently. When I pick them up, I always dust off the overabundance from a brush. The shimmers aren’t dusty.

Fall out: The shimmers fall out when I apply them with a brush. It isn’t critical, yet still there. It’s better to put on your eye makeup first. No fall out with fingertip application.

How to apply: These eyeshadows/pigments are off-white (partly) and mattes desperately call for a white eyeshadow primer. I use my concealer for that. So, I can be sure that I’ll love the result 100%. If you use a clear base, the result won’t be so popping.

The longevity rocks my socks off! These are super long-wearing, especially over a primer. It feels like if I wear them over a primer, they’ll stay on for 2 days. I haven’t checked it, of course, just a thought. But I can say for sure that over a concealer they stay on for 16-20 hours as if just applied.

Removing: I remove them with micellar water but red metallic stains my skin so much that I can barely do anything about it.

Spending: It’s noticeable but the size of the product cancels that out. In fact, the palette will go very far, unless you use it for the arts.

In general, I love this palette. Use the shades on top of the concealer and they’ll be awesome. I’m a little bit upset that the Jawbreaker shade tingles if gets into my eyes. Maybe other shimmers do too but I haven’t noticed.

In fact, almost all the shades are phenomenal. I even liked the blue ones. However, I still don’t really welcome the green shade.

The quality is top-notch. I’m really happy with my purchase.

If I were picky, I’d take off a star for some flaws but it’s definitely output by the advantages.

Thanks for your attention!
