Hello there!

Finally, I’m here to tell you about my favorite summer 2019 eyeshadow palette - Mini Breaker.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics is hyped and cherished by makeup junkies all over the world. And since I know their quality after meeting the Alien palette, I know what I’m talking about.

So, meet please, Mini Breaker.

✅ Made in the USA

✅ Shades - 9

✅ Weight - 9 refills, 1.5g each

✅ Price - $29

The palette was packed in a neon-light green cardboard box with some product information on it.

Ingredients:

As for the palette, it’s made of thick paper with a cut.

It feels rather heavy in my hands. The palette also features a rather big and handy mirror which doesn’t distort the image.

Also, it bends back, so the palette is nice to hold in my hands while putting on my makeup.

The palette has 9 tightly pressed pigment eyeshadows. The refills are pretty big, so they’ll go a long way.

Let’s have a closer look at them.

Double Scoop is matte and very interesting. It’s a hybrid of terracotta and mustard shades. It’s very well pigmented and super for the crease.

Orange Crush is bright and bold matte orange. But it’s adorned with some shimmer that is barely visible in life. I love applying it all over my mobile lids.

Foreplay is a cool-toned pink-lilac matte and soft shade. Nicely pigmented. It’s easy to apply and blend too. I use it either for my mobile lids or for the crease when pairing it with darker shades.

Oral is my favorite purple-pink douchrome. The shade is fuss-free and nicely combines with other shades as well as works alone on my eyes.

Purple Punch is a saturated dark-purple matte shade. I can’t pick it up with with a synthetic brush. I have to pack it, or else it looks patchy. It blends more difficult than others but if you work on it well, the final result will be good.

Slice is yellow-orange burnt metallic gold. It’s very soft and absolutely fuss-free to work with.

Bubble Gum is matte barbie pink. In my opinion, this one is the most complicated shade out of the entire palette. It can be picked with my finger well but I have to pack it a lot with a brush. Even though, it’s still advantageous when I use it for blending into the skin with Foreplay.

Bite Me is one more metallic, dark-purple shade. It’s the same as Slice in characteristics. It’s nice for smokey makeup, as well as for darkening of the outer Vs.

Hot Fudge is a cool-toned matte brown shade. It’s the same as Double Scoop in characteristics. For a long time, I used to avoid it but then knew how to fit it into my makeup harmoniously.

Swatches- The left ones were applied with my finger in 1 layer and the right ones with a brush. No primer or any other eyeshadow base.

✅ The palette doesn’t smell of anything. I mean, I have the Tarte palette and it’s almost two years now and it still smells like cookies. But this one smells of NOTHING. I don’t find it critical. Anyway, I never wear my eye shadows as a perfume.

✅ The staying power of the eyeshadows is out of this world, no matter the primer. I can fall asleep with my makeup on and wake up in the morning with my eyeshadows fresh and beautiful. I wish my mascara wouldn't fall out though.

✅ No allergic or any other reactions, even though my eyes have become really sensitive lately.

In fact, these eyeshadows are almost fuss-free. But some shades still need particular skills. If you pick them up with a brush a lot, they can fall out during application. So, I’d recommend applying your eye makeup first and then follow it with a foundation.

Will it suit newbies? I’d say no, rather than yes. This color selection can barely be said as basic. However, I’ve been wearing these shades for my office during the summer and that was fine for me. Although I know many offices don’t bear anything like this.

On the net, they always wonder if the Mini Breaker is a standalone palette or it still needs other shades, like basic blending beige and light shades too.

Well, no one keeps you from experimenting and mixing shades.

As for me, this palette is already full. I’ll show you my makeup which I do with all the shades from the palette and nothing else.

As you can see, this color selection can still be wearable and matchy.

Does the palette require high-end or professional expensive brushes? No. I use mine from Coastal Scents and Morphe which cost $3-5.

Does everyone need this palette? Of course not! You’ll buy it if you’re a fan of Jeffree or you’re a makeup artist or you’re just a bright eyeshadow junkie.

I’m very much into bright and bold makeups, so I constantly use this palette now. It’s so good for the summer and thanks to those orange shades, it will also be awesome for the fall.

I can’t be picky about the quality. I mean, some of the shades are still difficult and need some skills but this is not the case when you pick up a palette and your makeup is already flawless.

Do I recommend this palette? I definitely do. But only if you’re ready to be bright and bold and you know what to do with this palette. It’s so cute that it’s a pleasure to have in the collection.

From me, Jeffree gets another 5 stars and high recommendations!

Thanks for your attention! See ya!
