The Kiko Milano brand has been calling for me for a rather long time. And once I had a chance to test something from them, I headed for the store and found out they had a sale at that time. It was impossible to walk away without any piece of makeup. So, today I’ll be telling you about KIKO Smart Hydrating Foundation. I have it in two shades - Cool Rose 10 and Warm Rose 01.
The design is simple. The product is housed in a plastic soft tube. The lettering doesn’t fade away over time. I can see a good quality job done behind.
The back:
The tube looks like a tube with a toothpaste. After a while, the nozzle becomes stained with the foundation:
Swatches of the shades:
Warm Rose 01 is above and Cool Rose 10 is underneath.
Both shades are rather fair. One of them is a little bit pinkier than the other. When I blend them out, I don’t see any significant difference, so I’ll show you only the shade Cool Rose 10 on my face.
My nude skin:
Half of my face with a foundation on:
Full-on makeup:
The product is claimed to be long-lasting. However, I’ve noticed that it fades away from my chin, nose, and forehead some time later after application. That’s probably because of my skin type. I’ve given it several chances but not one of them has been used.
The foundation is of medium thickness. It’s nice to pack. Yet, it’s still better to apply it with a brush or a sponge, rather than with your fingertips.
The coverage is good. It doesn’t settle into my pores, even if I don’t prime my skin beforehand.
The product doesn’t have SPF in the formula.
I’d also like to note that the color line-up comprises of 21 shades, so it’ll be hard to pick out a shade without proper testing.
For me, this foundation is a failure. I hardly ever use it. It’s been a long time when I could see such a terrible creasing mess instead of a foundation on my face.
