Today we’ll speak about my first red lipstick!
I don’t know why but for a really long time it was so tricky for me to find the right red shade of red lipstick for my lips. All the products that I used to try looked odd and weird over my lips.
This is why I always was on a passive lookout for a perfect red lipstick and one day I accidentally have found it!
It has turned out to be the L'ABSOLU ROUGE Lipstick by Lancome in the color #132 Caprice.
This lipstick is new on the market, well, not actually new, but they had a relaunch of the entire collection. The new formula is richer with skin-friendly components and the color selection has become wider. They also added some new textures to the collection.

My opinion: the lipstick is gorgeous! It brings me so much aesthetic delight!
Tube - it’s black, metallic, glossy and has a golden and rose gold adornment here. The container is ergonomic and pleasant to hold in my hands. It always brings me a lot of delight once I take it in my hands.
The pack actually has a new click-to-close closure, which is placed on the upper part of the top cap. After pressing the button, the lipstick is very easy to take out and it never slips out itself!
BUT!!! Don’t twist it! Once I managed to twist the product in my hands and I actually stained the inner part of the top cap with the formula. I’m so ham-handed!
The inside of the tube is golden and it looks super classy. While the upper part of the top cap has a branded rose engraving.
The bullet with the lipstick twists up easy-breezy and also stays on very well.
The aroma of the product is pleasant, I can feel some retro notes here as well, yet I wouldn’t say that they are annoying.
It’s such a pleasure to apply this lipstick. It doesn't crease, feather, bleed or anything else. What’s more, the formula is very easy to blend out.
The product offers good staying power which is a few hours. Then it starts fading from the inside on my lips but there isn’t a problem for me to touch-up or apply it again. If I dab the formula into my lips with fingers, then it looks like a tinted balm, which will stay on almost till the moment I decide to wash it off.
The finish is glossy, but you can mute it if you use a paper tissue and blot your lips.
The most important thing that I want to say about this lipstick is that it doesn’t gather with a white film inside of my lips.
It doesn’t dry out my lips at all and never shows any flaking.

I’m delighted with this lipstick. Everything seems to be perfect about it. And, yeah, I will wear this shade on my lips, because I really like the way it looks!
In the photo I dabbed some product with my finger so as not to make the shade look too bright and vibrant on my lips. I guess I still need some time to get used to this color.
