For me, matte lipsticks are something to die for! Firstly, I love how they look on my lips. Secondly, you don’t have to touch up constantly. Apply a matte lipstick and forget about it!
It’s hard to find a perfectly suitable matte lipstick though. Some are drying, some aren’t matte at all, some aren’t long-lasting. I’ve tried countless, and my faves are those from Lime Crime.
Recently I received a matte mousse from LASplash as a free sample from the company. This review will be about it.

There are many shades in the line. I got the one named Charmed.I instantly knew it wouldn’t fit me, since I don’t look good with pale lips, but there was no choice.
I don’t understand, whom do they create such shades for? On tanned girls, they look weird. Also, they make pale girls even paler and more ill-looking. The sight of it makes me want to call an ambulance 
Besides, such plaster-like shades are very nasty in terms of application, and Charmed is no exception.
It’s quite decent as a swatch, but absolutely horrendous on the lips!
However, the longevity of the Smitten LipTint Mousse is something to praise it for! The lipstick stays put, regardless of what you do: eat, drink, or talk. But once it starts fading, the lips look miserable. Other matte lipsticks of mine fade evenly, but not this one.
Darker shades would probably look better and be less problematic, but judging from my experience with the one I own, I can’t give the product more than 3 stars.
