Recently I realized that I can’t go without highlighters in my makeup bag. I really want my skin to glow, but constant lack of sleep and stressful situations do not contribute to healthy-looking skin. I’m sure that a highlighter (when applied moderately) can improve any makeup and refresh the whole look.
This is my first liquid highlighter with a dropper, and I’m pleasantly surprised with it.
Ingredients:
I like such bottles with droppers, I find this kind of housing very convenient and hygienic. Glow Mon Amour comes in a neat bottle made of glass, with a metallic cap. Looks attractive, at any rate.
The dropper is awesome, not too tight, easy to squeeze and take the product out, but it takes out much more than necessary. Since the highlighter is runny and envelopes the dropper, you have to be careful, because occasional drops may appear out of nowhere.
It’s recommended to mix the drops with a foundation or use them traditionally on the cheekbones. I use both methods and I’ve also developed two ways to use it of my own, but first things first
The bottle contains 0,5 oz, that’s a lot for such a product, but it spends quickly if used not only for cheekbones.
The formula is gorgeous and reminds me of molten bronze. Everything about it is perfect: soft, easy to apply, blend out and mix with other products etc.
The drops are amazingly beautiful and contain the tiniest shimmer particles which give the skin an amazing glow. It doesn’t look vulgar at all, no, it’s such a subtle glow, as though the skin is lit from within.
The fragrance is nice. I can’t smell coconut.
The longevity is great. My skin shines all day long.
I own the shade Loving Peach 02. First, I thought that I wouldn’t be able to use it, since my skin is rather fair. But everything turned out to be great.
It was hard to make decent photos showing the effect so I had to apply more than usual. If you apply the highlighter moderately, the transition won’t be visible at all.
These are my ways to use the drops:
1) I mix them with a moisturizer when I want to give my skin a glow without any foundation. The skin looks healthy and natural.
2) I mix the drops with a foundation - my favorite way to use the product.
I do it when I want a glowing finish. The drops mix with the foundation pretty good. The excess is easy to remove with a wet sponge.
The finish becomes dewy, and the skin looks as though lit from within. So beautiful!
3) As a highlighter: I apply a little bit onto the cheekbones and blend it out thoroughly. The highlighter doesn’t damage the foundation. As a result, the cheekbones are highlighted amazingly and naturally.
4) I also like to apply a little drop in the middle of the lower lip, which creates the appearance of fuller lips and can improve the result from any lipstick
Glow Mon Amour Drops are great in any respect, so here are their well-deserved 5 stars.
Thanks for reading my review!
