With the appearance of more long wearing and matte textures, the glossy cream lipsticks have seemed to disappear from stores. But gradually the fashion for lip lacquers or glossy lipsticks returns. This is good news for those who don’t feel comfortable wearing matte and long lasting lipsticks.
Today I want to express my opinion on the Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipsticks.
This collection is very affordable and versatile. And if you ask me about my impressions of use, I’ll state that these are one of the softest lipsticks that I’ve tried.
So, here the products are sealed with transparent tape to protect the lipstick from opening. I find the seals safer than usual stickers, so thank you Makeup Revolution.
The tube of the lippie is made of glossy plastic and golden lettering on the top. Of course, I can’t say that the packaging is fine and sound. But today we’re speaking about affordable lipsticks, so no frills are there that can make the product more expensive.
Personally for me the most important is the content and not the outer design.
The top cap is color-coded with the lipstick inside. This is done for our convenience to see the true color of the product and not a close example on the printed sticker.
The top cap closes tightly, so the lippie is safe.
The texture is creamy, soft and butter-like.
So, it’s obvious that the lipsticks feel as a chapstick on the lips. The texture is easy to layer and get intense coverage. I mean you can apply the lippie with one layer and get a hint of color or you can also build the coverage for an intense and opaque color.
Since the product is glossy and moisturizing, it’ll stay on for 4 hours without bites. And it’ll be better to apply it with a lip liner or a lip pencil for the product not to feather.
There are 12 luscious colors.
There are nudes as well as bold shades in the collection.
I have 4 colors, which I’m going to speak about now.
It’s a true nude shade with pink undertones that reminds me of a foundation color.
Thanks to its emollient texture, the product doesn’t look chalky on the lips. The shade doesn’t go streaky or feather.
It’s buildable. I don't wear it often, as I like pairing it with other bold colors from the collection.
Coral-pinky color. It's popular in summer but I guess that this shade can be used as a cream brusher all year round! It looks stunning on the skin, as well as on the lips for sure. The texture doesn’t look streaky and you can vary the color intensity.
This is a watermelon smoothie color. This shade is perfect for those who prefer nude pink lip colors.
Unlike other shades from the collection, this one isn’t that pigmented and looks like a colored lip balm, hence it fades faster. Even if your lips don’t look their best, still the coverage will look great, I like this color because of its semi-transparent coverage as sometimes I really don’t need opaque color on my lips.
Classic red color. This one is great and will suit any evening makeup or even day makeup if it’s run in the classic nude colors. Thanks to its lightweight texture, the coverage doesn’t look opaque and seems lighter and more airy.
This product is easy to layer too. It doesn't feather but still, use a lip pencil beforehand for better results and even contours.
These aren’t longwearing lippies that will stay on the entire day. They have emollient texture that will be fine for the cold seasons and for those who suffer chapped lips and can’t wear long-lasting liquid lipsticks. So, I definitely give these lippies 5 stars as they do everything that I want from them.
