Creamy formulas look pretty and natural on my skin, but it’s quite a hassle to use them.
It’s extremely important to find the right texture and a suitable shade for your skin to create the most natural effect.
Recently I’ve tried the illuminating stick from NYX in the shade Bermuda Bronze.
The stick was covered in a protective film just like the rest of the NYX products.
The design is straightforward and compact. The cap has the same color as the product itself.
It swivels up and down.
I don’t recommend keeping it in a warm place, because the formula melts away pretty quickly and can smear the cap.
It comes with 6g of the product.
It is available in 12 different shades, which are 4 bronzers, 4 blushes and 4 highlighters.
I was sold on the highlighters, but decided to try this bronzer first. It suits tanned skin perfectly.
The texture is malleable, buttery and applies on the first go easily. Moreover, it blends out effortlessly without leaving any visible orange undertone on my skin, even though this shade is pretty orange.
It doesn’t give any noticeable glow to my skin, but emphasizes a tan slightly, which is a nice option for summer. It looks pretty natural on me, but I didn’t really like the color of this product.
I wish it were more natural. It looks more like creamy blush with a brick-red undertone on my skin after blending.
However, the concept by itself is fascinating.
It wears about 3-4 hours against my combination skin type except for cases when it’s hot outside.
In my opinion, the manufacturer was not right calling this product an illuminating stick, because it doesn’t really give any glow.
I love this stick because I can control the intensity and payoff of the product. I feel confident in recommending it to girls with pretty dry and tanned skin.
