I love powders and I think the product is very important in makeup. I’m on my fourth powder at the moment. I use it every day, no matter if go out or not. The reason is that I want to look beautiful non-stop. The powder helps me when I don’t want to apply foundation, but want to have perfect skin.
Today I’m going to review the powder from NYX, which is definitely worth a look.
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation:
I have it in Creamy Natural (SMP04).
Actually the product is available in a number of shades beginning from extremely dark to very light for girls like me. The shade I have is one of the lightest out there.
Outer appearance.
The powder comes in a rounded plastic pan.
The design appealed to me, it’s very nice and sleek. The pan is quite thick and hefty due to the double bottom. The first layer is the powder itself:

The sponge is very useful and apply the product well. I prefer using it when I apply the powder only without any foundation. Using it after foundation, I take a fluffy brush and apply the powder to my T-zone and cheeks.
The packaging looks impressive with the double bottom, but it’s not user-friendly. The reason is that I don’t usually want to break my nails to get this sponge. However, there is nothing I can do, so I use it the way it is meant to.
Nevertheless, the packaging has a distinctive plus, i.e a mirror. You can take the powder everywhere with you and use it on the go.
The packaging is easy to open and close. You don’t have to break your nails. Just push the cap, that’s it.

Shade and performance.
Creamy Natural is perfect for me. I’m so happy about it, because I was worried that it wouldn’t suit my skin tone, but it’s fine.
The texture is really soft and somewhat creamy. Applying with a sponge, you get thick coverage, which is good for me. I don’t see any remnants of powder on my face.
Swatch:
The powder is non-scented. It’s quite important for some people.
My skin: I have oily skin in my T-zone, cheeks and chin. It has an oily sheen with every powder within 2-3 hours. I don’t have many problems with my skin except for some redness on my nose and forehead.
This powder is no exception. My nose starts glowing after 2 hours, but it’s not the powder’s fault, as other products behave the same. Only TONY MOLY Cats Wink Clear Pact is better in this respect, but the texture is too white.
The powder may emphasize peeling, so take good care of your skin. It conceals redness well, especially with a sponge.
Let’s take a look at the picture. Here, I haven’t used any foundation. I applied the powder with a brush.
I have to powder my skin every 2-3 hours, so I always have this product with me. The skin is matte everywhere except for my nose, which is glowing deceitfully.
The staying powder: it lasts all day on normal parts of my face, 2 hours on my nose, 4 hours on my cheeks and forehead.
Results.
I love this powder! It has a soft and silky smooth texture without any scent (although it’s not such a huge plus for me). Moreover, it has cool packaging, which I’m not going to throw away.
