Pros: affordable, mattifies skin
Cons: no sponge and mirror

Hey everyone!

Today I’ll go through the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

▲▼▲Packaging and design ▲▼▲

The powder has a relatively straightforward yet stylish packaging. The transparent cap closes securely and opens up fuss-free.

There is no sponge or mirror included. It may be a downside for someone, but I don’t use it on the go, so it’s not a huge hindrance for me. Anyway you can purchase a puff separately and store it under the cap that allows it.

When the powder was new, it had a beautiful embossment Smile

Up to 5 hours of natural shine control with natural minerals. Helps minimize the appearance of pores. Dermatologically tested.

The powder has a slightly chalky and silky smooth texture.

The smell is classy powder without any potent fragrances to it.

The coverage is medium. It won’t conceal some heavy blemishes, but it evens out my complexion alright.

The powder does really mattify my skin, so it does what it says on the tin Smile Almost. It doesn’t wear like 5 hours on me, but it looks decent up to 4 hours. As a rule, my skin gets an oily sheen in about 2 hours, but this powder makes it look matte.

Moreover, it looks alright even after 4 hours. I get more like a satin sheen that is easy to remove with a mattifying tissue.

The wear time: 6 hours.

You better not overdo it and apply multiple coats, otherwise it will emphasize all your imperfections like any other powder.

Here is the product in action:

There is only powder on my face! Left: no makeup. Right: powder + eyebrow powder.

Left: no makeup. Right: only powder
Left: no makeup. Right: only powder

Close-up:

I don’t use it every day and I don’t really put on makeup that often, but I sometimes apply powder and eyebrow powder only to look decent Smile

It doesn’t clog my pores or make my skin condition worse.

I always cleanse and scrub it properly.

All in all, I loved this powder. If you are looking for a mattifying powder, this one is definitely worth a look.

I wish it had a silkier texture and more glistening particles to it to make my skin look healthier. Nevertheless I will gladly use it further on Smile

That’s it for today Smile

Be always beautiful and charming Smile

See you.
