Ingredients:
The list of ingredients is rather long and questionable.
Naturally, it has some synthetic components which can give some reaction and provoke allergies.
However, I’d also like you to pay attention to those natural components like palm oil, jojoba Oil, Citric Acid.
Those components are to hydrate and nourish lashes. That’s especially important for waterproof mascara. For that, I give this product 5 stars, as my lashes don’t fall out after using it and in general look good and healthy.
Color:
The mascara doesn’t have any colored version and comes only in one classy black color. Its shade is really saturated and black.
Brush:
It’s bristled and nylon. There are a lot of bristles all over it and they keep well and don’t bend.
The shape of the brush is handy, even though it’s rather big in size. It’s tapered. You’ll find it nice to coat inner and outer lashes with it.

Characteristics:
I’ll start with the waterproof aspect. The product is truly waterproof. It stands up to rain and tears.

It can be removed only with special waterproof makeup remover.

It doesn’t fall out during the day. However, towards the evening the tips of my lashes go down. Also, it doesn’t hold the curl 100%, it just supports it a little.

It doesn’t provoke any reactions to my eyes, even though I wear contacts.

Length
YEP! The product visually lengthens my lashes, as well as brushes them through and never clumps. Oddly enough, it works fine even with the smallest lashes in the corners of my eyes.
Volume
50/50. Actually, I didn’t get enough volume from it. I know what really voluminous lashes look like and this mascara doesn’t do anything like that even on the roots. So, with this product, I can get only natural finish and no drama. I don’t mean that’s bad but I just don’t like it.
Anyway, my lashes are still beautiful, fanned and more popping with it.

Given all that, it’s very easy to pack it. One can control the pigment and thickness of the finish.

I can recommend this NYX worth the hype waterproof mascara. It’s a good mascara that lengthens, brushes and provides a natural finish. But don’t expect volume from it, as well as the curl hold.
In fact, the worth the hype naming is too loud for it.
