We’ll speak about an eyeshadow primer today. For me, an eyeshadow primer is one of the essential products in my beauty bag, since there aren’t many eyeshadows which can’t actually boast with excellent pigmentation, you know. While a good eyeshadow primer can really save the situation!
I’ve been using this primer for quite a while and had already had a chance to test it out during the heat as well as in cold weather.
Price - $7
Size - 7 ml
The product itself looks like a lip gloss. Inside this tube you’ll find a small applicator which actually helps to apply the product over my lids. I find this applicator convenient as it always applies the right amount of the primer. The spending is very low.
The color of the primer looks transparent, though it has some beige pigment to it. After the application and blending, the product looks absolutely transparent. I have a couple of eyeshadows which are shitty pigmentation-wise. If I use them over my non-primed skin, then I’ll have to build their coverage up a lot, while the primer makes the pigment pop very easily (on the left, the eyeshadow is applied without a primer).
The products don’t fall out during wear and they are nice to blend out and apply.
The eyeshadows applied over a primer show a better wear time, though I can’t say that it’s enough for me in summer, for instance. When it’s boiling hot, my eyeshadows can still crease, even if I apply them over the primer. Maybe my skin tone plays a role too. Perhaps, if you have dry skin, you won’t ever face this problem.
Pros:
✔ the primer makes my eyeshadows super longwearing
✔ the color pops and looks brighter
✔ the application is very handy
Cons:
✔ in summer I can still face eyeshadow creasing
If this con isn’t actually about you, then I can recommend this primer. I’m absolutely delighted with this product when it comes to the color payoff and easy application.
