Hello everybody!
It was more than one year ago when I decided to buy my first highlighter and I knew nothing about it - where to apply and how to treat it. That’s why I stopped on an affordable product which was praised by the Sephora brand.
Product info:
Price: $12
Color selection: presents 3 shades - Delicate Glow (bronze), Natural Glow (golden) and Romantic Glow (light shade).
Product claims:
Available in three shades, this face powder adapts to suit different skin tones. Its imperceptible, incredibly silky texture leaves a veil of ultra-fine shimmer particles that reflect the light and reveal your natural radiance. Its delicate shimmer particles have a unique sparkle that reflects the light to highlight the face and its fine texture allows you to build coverage with a weightless feel. It adapts to suit your skin tone so as to reveal a unique healthy glow.
Outer appearance
The compact looks really cheap. It’s flimsy and I wouldn’t take it out of my purse to touch-up in public. And yeah, the design is too simple.
Usually, the Sephora collection products can boast with their beautiful packages, that’s why people buy it that much.
I don’t get the print there. It looks like scales which has nothing to do with the beauty theme.
The pigmentation is insane and the shimmering bits are very well pressed and pick up perfectly with my finger or a brush.
Even though my skin is very pale, I still wanted to get some golden glow over it, so opted for the second shade which is called Natural Glow.
My impressions of use
This is what my skin looks like without a highlighter.
This powder highlights it with a delicate glow and I can even fit it into my make up for the job.
I haven’t noticed my pores or fine lines defined.
It’s almost impossible to make out when I wear it with one coat. But if I pack it, it applies with a yellow stripe.
It isn’t too obvious.
So, that’s why I think it’s a perfect highlighter for beginners.
However, it opened up for me differently when I applied Iconic London Illuminator underneath it.
My face started to glow with different shades of golden color. Moreover, the powder sets my makeup, so it doesn’t crease during the day.
Pros:
1. Great long-wearing formula
2. Beautiful shade
3. Nice pigmentation
4. It doesn’t clog my pores
5. It packs well over other highlighters
Cons:
1. It isn’t too vibrant
2. Poor color selection (only 3 shades)
3. Packaging
I don’t think that this very highlighter is a must-have for everyone. But the price/quality tag is fine here so I can recommend it to everyone who still doesn’t have a highlighter in their stash.
