I saw this product in a beauty blog. A very famous beauty make-up artist was saying a lot of good things about it. This cushion isn’t the first that I tried. I had another one which I didn’t like, but liked the idea of the packaging and application very much.
The first thing I was attracted to was the design: the case is black and sleek. The plastic is of very good quality and pleasant to the touch.
There’s alcohol in the ingredients, but it's barely noticeable unless you poke your nose into the sponge with foundation. I guess the alcohol here is to keep the product hygienic and stay fresher longer.
The size is standard for all the cushions - 15ml
The puff is really cool and soft.
The foundation itself is extremely pleasant: watery and lightweight. When I apply it onto my skin I feel a pleasant cooling effect which happens again thanks to the alcohol in the ingredients.
I don’t know whether sensitive skin will like it, but mine does, even though I do sometimes have strange skin reactions to some cosmetic products. I mean the products that are drying. I always have a tightening feeling after I use them. But I experienced nothing of that kind when I applied the Sephora cushion. I had only pleasant feelings of moisture and hydration.
I really appreciate the way this foundation looked on my skin. When I swatched the shade, it seemed to be darker and more pink, but as a result it turned out to be super matchy to my skin color. I have discoloration on my face as well as uneven skin texture. There are post acne scars and hyper-pigmentation. Sometimes I even break out. But this cushion works wonders on my face. It evens out everything there.
The lasting power is rather iffy. It doesn't stay as long if I don’t set it with powder. But if I do, it stays on pretty well. My skin is combination and I can assure you that the product doesn’t travel down or stain.
Overall, this Wonderful Cushion is my new must have
