I’d like to review the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream that I got from a beauty box. It’s a mini-size tube with 7 ml of the product.
Made in Canada.
5-in-1 BB Cream for a flawless look on camera and in real life?
The cream comes in the Light shade. In general, the product is available in 8 color tones. The one I have is the third in the line when looking from light to dark.
At first the color seemed too dark for me, but it behaved really well and adjusted to my skin tone after a while. The smell is hardly perceptible. It has just a really slight cosmetic fragrance, which I like as opposed to most makeup product that have an incredible off-putting smell.
I had troubled skin with acne spots, occasional breakouts and frequent redness. My skin condition is much better at the moment, but when I was writing this review, I had these problems.
After applying the cream with my fingers as recommended (no makeup base is needed with a BB Cream), I had the following result:
The cream seemed to be too thick for me, so it was a little bit of a hassle to apply it. In general, it distributes quite evenly. The texture is nice, but what surprised me positively most of all is that it adjusts to my skin tone!
The shade was a little too dark at the beginning, but after a few hours when I returned home after a walk, I saw that my skin looked much better than it did right after applying! It’s weird, but it’s true.
It seems that the cream required a little more time to set.
After a while the cream melted into my skin tone completely. The redness and my pores were less visible. Well, the result is surely not perfect for me, but those with skin in good condition will probably love this product!
The cream has SPF 35, which is a huge plus. To be honest, my skin liked this cream.
What does it promise? I recommend you read it:
Wonder why models in our L.A. photo studio hoard this 5-in-1 miracle-worker BB cream? It cuts down on prep time and instantly creates even, radiant skin.
Primes. Perfects. Hydrates. Banishes shine. Protects with SPF 35
Reduces appearance of fine lines & wrinkles in just 4 weeks
Wear alone or under foundation for more coverage
These promises sound really good. Hydrates? Yes, I believe it and I can feel it. All in all, the wear is quite enjoyable, but I would like a lighter shade for me.
The drawbacks:
Although it says that it ‘banishes shine’, an oily sheen appears in my T-zone and on my cheeks almost right after application if I don’t use any powder. However, the powder helps solve this problem.
Doesn’t disguise breakouts. Too bad This is the biggest issue for me.
Accentuates dry patches.
It removes with the Loreal micellar water completely.
Price of the cream is $42 for 30 ml. In my opinion, the price is hefty.

Overall thoughts:
I recommend it to girls that have pretty good skin. The cream conceals some insignificant imperfections perfectly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t match problem skin at all. As for me, I give it 3 stars, because it didn’t help me against my problems, but it was nice to use. The manufacturer says that it can be used under foundation, but I think it’s too much
So, it’s all I wanted to say
This is a flop product for me personally, but I can recommend you give it a try
Thank you all for reading my review! I wish you good luck in searching for the perfect makeup products that will make you happy! ^^
