Pros: nice shades, price, texture
Cons: dusting texture

I’m in love with highlighters, that’s why I bought this palette Smashbox with great delight. It was impossible to withstand that purchase. After swatching these shades, I quickly headed to the check out with it. Smile

I bought it from Sephora.

The price of the palette depends on its size. For testing, I decided to buy the travel size. It costs $15 + tax.

The full sized palette costs $35

  • Packaging

The product was packed with a cute light and really stylish box.

The back of the product shows more details about the palette.

As for the compact, it’s made of a black plastic, which seems to be cheap to the touch, though it appears visually nice. The full sized compact looks better but I wanted a small palette to meet the product.

The back of the compact has a sticker with some info on, like the names of all shades and manufacturer.

  • About the product

Size: 0.17 oz (5.1g)

Made in the USA

Product promises:

An easy-to-use, three-well highlighter palette that spotlights your favorite features, adds dimension and gives you a buildable glow.

The full size comes with two shades - Pearl (for fair skin tones) and Gold (for medium to dark skin)

My palette is in the shade Pearl.

The palette offers three highlighting shades - Turn It On Pearl, Crank It Up Pearl and Blow A Fuse Pearl. The product was released with Casey Holmes (blogger) collaboration.

The Spotlight Palette features three highlight finishes—from subtle glow to super sparkle—so you can build and control your glow.

The highlighters are pleasant to look at. They are well packed with pigments and easy to apply over the skin.

These shades deliver an ultra-blendable, velvety smooth formula that melts into skin without emphasizing uneven texture, and adds dimension and definition.

The first shade is a fair champagne shimmering highlighter. Its name is Turn It On Pearl.

The second shade is Crank It Up Pearl. This one is also shimmering and no less beautiful.

The third shade is called Blow A Fuse Pearl. This one is more glittery and chunky. It’ll be perfect for evening makeup to spotlight your face features.

Have a look at the swatches.

I apply the highlighter with a brush. I love using my Zoeva 105 or Annbeauty S6 and S9.

It was a tad disappointing but the product is dusty.

It was nice to discover that the shades can be mixed together.

The lasting power is on fleek.

The coverage is good and really glowing.

  • The bottom line:

The palette’s nice and I think that I’ll buy the big size or the same travel version again.

The highlighting powders are lovely. They are easy to work with, long-wearing and their texture is the finest.

I think that this palette will be handy not only for professional makeup artists but also for all makeup junkies!

Highly recommended!
