When it comes to the Tom Ford cosmetics, the very first thing that comes to my mind is Los Angeles and Miami. I mean ocean, palm trees and neon sunsets. And of course, I associate it with luxury! Because come on, look at the packaging, it does really scream “it’s a high-end product in your hands”. It’s so pleasant to take it out of my purse because this product instantly grabs all the attention. I started to get to know the cosmetic world by Maestro Tom Ford very recently, that’s why currently I’ve got only two products in my stash. So, one of them I’m going to review today.
Tom Ford The Ultimate Bronzer L’ultime Poudre Bronzante Terra is actually an analog of the old bronzing powder collection, which was released in 2017. It still comes with three shades: Gold Dust 01, Terra 02 and Bronze Age 03 in the sizes of 15 and 8g. I have the biggest compact of the bronzer which does really look huge. I guess it’ll go a very long way.
Here’s what they say on the official site:

Some more details from me:
1. Design- Earlier, all the TF cosmetics was packed with black compacts. Now they are ivory. It’s such an advantage that now all the fingerprints and stains are almost undetectable on the packaging. I also appreciate the presence of a white velvet pouch, which is easy to stain, though. The casing itself is rather big, the top lid opens with 180 degrees and I like using it to have a look at me from time to time. The mirror comes with the branded golden Tom Ford engraving.
2. Texture and color- They claim that the renewed collection comes with both liquid and dry forms. As for me, the product is more dry than liquid. However, I admit that it applies on my skin smoothly, adjusting to it. The product doesn’t dust and looks like “my skin”, so natural. The shade is really gorgeous! Brown-beige and warm-toned. No red shade here. And the wear time is also a thing to boast.

A comparison with the NYX 22 Taupe blush:
I want to compare this bronzer with my other fave from NYX. Earlier I used to use only cool-toned contouring products, which had as much of a gray undertone as possible. The TF Terra 02 shade is a bronzer, guys! It’s not a contouring powder. It creates a beautiful shadow effect on my skin, which appears natural and delicate. I apply it only over my cheekbones and that’s all, because it makes my skin look healthy and bronzy tanned. It won’t sculpt my facial features. Both shades are to do their own job. Before, I could easily use the NYX Taupe 22 to apply over my cheekbones, but now I understand that it’s a contouring product and I’d better put it aside.
Overall- Of course, there must be a drawback about this TF product and it’s kind of fatal. That’s the price. It’s $70, guys!
I know that it’s a high-end brand and luxury must be exclusive. Well, the brand totally lives up to it. The compact with the bronzer is huge and it’ll go a long way. It’s up to you to decide whether the size of the product is a significant fact for you or not.
But from time to time it’s such a must to treat ourselves with something exceptional...
