Recently I reviewed the Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eyeshadow and I really praised the creamy texture of it. But before the purchase of the Cream and Powder, I also had a very unusual and amazing color called Sphinx in my collection, which is from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
So, my review today is about it.
Packaging: It’s a small jar with a branded top lid of a chocolate color and golden TF letters on it. It looks simple yet absolutely sophisticated.
I was impressed by the Sphinx shade the very moment they released their promo. And I was lucky enough to find it in a duty-free shop. I quickly grabbed it and set off to the counter.
The shade is very interesting. It’s a rose gold duochrome color which looks different in different lights/angles and flashlight. Sometimes it’s yellow, sometimes it’s true gold, and other times it looks pink.

Flashlight:
I have to highlight one feature of this very shade - since it has true yellow notes to it, it’s very important to outline your lash line and outer V-s. Otherwise, you risk looking like there’s a healing bruise on your eyes.
Texture: The products in this collection are very interesting texture-wise. It feels as though that this product is a soft and plastic cream. You can apply it with a brush or even with your fingertips (of course if you can get into the jar with the content).
Why do I love this product?
1. It is so easy to apply. A couple of motions and that’s it, the Beauty Me is ready.
2. For a very unusual color it has beautifully emphasized my eye color. You can find a true swap for this shade in MAC in their Christmas Collection Stylishly Merry.
3. I love this eyeshadow for the staying power. During the day the product doesn’t crease or crumble with shimmer. I also really appreciate that its color doesn’t fade over time.
Lastly. If you manage to find the Sphinx shade somewhere in a duty-free shop, or on Insta shops, then head and buy it. The color, as well as quality are just amazing.
