Pros: awesome pigmentation, beautiful design, excellent quality, staying power, the shades are fantastic

Hello to all those reading my post!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this new palette from Urban Decay which is called Cherry.

Price: $49

Product promises:

A palette with a sexy vibe that’s more tart than sweet, with 12 all-new shades ranging from ivory and rose gold to black cherry.

What exactly are the shades?

Outer appearance- It’s absolutely thought out. The palette comes with a box, which offers all the needed info about the new product. The top cap is glossy. It opens up easily, though it’ll never pop open, be sure.

Inside it hides 12 awesome shades. Red tones prevail here, which is obvious, since the palette is called “cherry”. If you welcome such shades for your makeup, then you’ll surely fall for it. Each shade has its own name. There are matte as well as metallic shades here.

A close-up:

The products are a little bit dusty when I touch them with a brush. But there’s a chance that my brush is far from being soft, you know.

By the way, I know that a brush should be provided with the palette, but mine didn’t have it. Anyway, it’s of no importance, because the main thing for me is to test out the eyeshadows. I’m sure that if you buy this palette, you’ll definitely have a brush there.

The pigmentation is insane here. I apply the product over a primer and I’m used to applying them with a thick layer. Here the color payoff is fantastic. I would never be able to get the same color kickback from my other eyeshadows indeed. So, finally, there are swatches by different lights are waiting for you below.

The fairest shades:

The first ones are the lightest.

Hot Spot is an ivory hue, which will be the least used by me.

And the darker colors:

Most of all my heart melted when I saw these two:

I wish there were more occasions for me to wear them…

The mirror inside is too narrow for me, that’s why I usually use another one.

The stated shelf life is 24 months, though in fact I’ll keep on using them for longer.

My makeup with the Cherry eyeshadow palette:

Let’s pass over to the most captivating part of my review. At first I want to show you some makeup looks. I always use a primer beforehand.

I’ll list the shades, which were the most frequently used for this or that makeup look. Somewhere I also use other shades.

  • The first look is fine for daily wear. And all that thanks to this BANG BANG sparkling golden pink color:

  • Here I used the color called TURN ON. It’s such a pale pink metallic. What’s more I darkened the outer Vs:

  • Here the shade AMBITIOUS is starring:

  • Here you can see the same shade, by the daytime lights only:

  • DRUNK DIAL prevails here:

  • The matte shades BING and DEVILISH are used:

  • My fave - YOUNG LOVE, which is metallic cranberry. Here it’s applied over other shades:

And here is the daytime light only:

Well, my makeup doesn’t look neat at some places, sorry. I was in a hurry…

The shades may fall out on my skin during application. It’ll depend on the color actually. It’s better to buff over the overabundance from the brush anyway. Sometimes I apply the products with my fingertips for better color payoff. I like the way the metallic shades shine by the sunlight. I use the matte shades less often but it still means that they are of dope quality. All the colors are buildable.

The staying power is excellent. However, here everything depends on a primer you use. I can wear these shades the entire day, usually evening. I haven’t noticed any creasing.

Removal:

No troubles here. I usually use micellar water or a special eye makeup remover.

Over and out:

The Cherry palette from UD is awesome. And the quality of the shades is on level. Most of all I was stunned by the pigmentation. It was enough to slightly touch them with my skin and the color payoff was already vibrant and bright. For the first time I even managed to ruin my daytime makeup due to that killing pigmentation. Smile I can’t even compare my other eyeshadows with these ones. I wish I could wear all the shades from the palette on a daily basis. But, it’s such a discovery for evening makeups…

Highly recommended!

Thanks for your attention!
