Hi there!

Two months ago I purchased another makeup product to disguise my dark circles and bluishness, which actually helps but it’s not perfect.

Today I’d like tell you something about it. So, here is a review for the Urban Decay Color Correcting Fluid in the shade Pink.

What they promise:

We’ve all got our vices. The last thing you need is for the evidence of those sins to be visible all over your pretty face. Enter Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid. Our innovative, lightweight formula instantly color-corrects and blurs flaws, leaving skin illuminated and bright. Don’t just conceal, correct your worst transgressions with six targeted shades for everything from redness to dark circles.

This high-tech formula comes in a bottle that looks like our Naked Skin Concealer component but with an iridescent white cap. Sure, it’s cute, but it’s also practical and travel-friendly. You can see the shade through the clear bottle, so it’s easy to find the right one in your bag. No need to carry a brush either; the modern flocked applicator picks up and lays down just the right amount of product. And it’s soft enough to use on the delicate skin under the eyes.

The tube with 6.2g of the product has a stopper of good quality and a screw cap that clicks shut. The package keeps not only the fluid but also your cosmetic bag safe and sound.

The product never bleeds and even the edges of the tube are always clean.

The smell is mild and even neutral when comparing it with the smells of other concealers, but has a hint of something chemical to it, if you sniff at it for quite a while very closely.

The applicator wand is very useful. It’s flat and picks up a good amount of the fluid. However, it is still more than you need, if you apply it only to your under eye area and to the inner corner of your eyes.

I use this tool for applying the product only. As for blending, I use a specific brush for this purpose.

I honestly don’t know how to blend it out with the applicator provided, because the coverage turns out to be too thick and uneven. However, such coverage may be useful in some cases, for ex., for photo shoots.

In everyday life it would be too heavy. So a brush is actually required.

The formula is lightweight and silky smooth.

The coverage depends on the amount of the layers you put and how hard you blend them out. By the way, it layers with ease.

I apply it to my prepared skin after about 5 minutes after an eye cream. The latter is some kind of a base for a concealer or a foundation if I use them under my eyes.

What are the results?

Whenever I use only the foundation for my face, I can clearly see some bluishness under my eyes. Such a coverage is not enough for me:

Applying it to the inner corners of my eyes and under my eyes, I get a more even skin tone and a glowing look. Moreover, the dark circles are covered up and you can see this in picture No.6.

It seems that I just had enough sleep and rest, but in reality it feels that I was more refreshed in the picture No. 4.

It doesn’t dry out my skin, but I don’t know how it behaves without an eye cream applied prior to that. Moreover, it doesn’t make my look heavier.

I guess you all already know the con I’m going to mention: This concealer sets into my fine lines and wrinkles along with the product applied on top of it.

I constantly have to touch it up, desirably with a blending brush. Blending it out with my fingers might smear the coverage, so the dark circles may break through.

A setting powder doesn’t change it for the better either, because the concealer still settles into my wrinkles.

All in all, it performs alright and I’m pretty pleased with the results, but I’m not sure if I'll ever repurchase it. The downside is that I constantly have to control the coverage and touch it up frequently.
