Pros: affordable, applies well, beautiful shades, blends out well
Cons: can look pale without a base

Hey!

The low-end Wet n Wild brand has gotten popular all over the world.

In addition to the widely-hyped Comfort Zone palette with 8 shades, the brand has a lot of everything to create a full makeup. However, I got attracted by the eyeshadows in the first place.

I picked up the Comfort Zone palette along with the Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio Sweet As Candy E381B for testing.

Today I’d like to talk about the later palette.

The design is very simple. The product comes with a transparent cap and plastic black packaging.

The material is not so sturdy, so keep the palette safe.

It has a specific protective sticker, which is good on the one hand, as it ensures that nobody has ever tested your palette. But on the other hand, it leaves sticky residue after removing.

On the back you can find information about the ingredients and manufacturer.

Made in China. It can be a significant drawback for someone, but not for me. More and more brands prefer producing their products in China nowadays.

A mirror is not included. There are only sponge and brush applicators, which are totally useless, in my book.

I’ve purchased the most delicate palette out there - Sweet As Candy E381B.

It has 3 satin shades that are perfect for a soft and romantic makeup.

The first shade is Browbone: white color with a hint of pearl. The shade is meant for brightening the inner corner of the eyes and under the brows. It can also be used as a highlighter.

A thick coverage is not possible without an eyeshadow base. The shade is a little bit dusty when picking up.

The second shade is Crease: it looks like coffee in a pan, but it turned out to be a warm light-brown shade in reality. The shade applies thickly and blends out really well. It’s a little dusty as well. This color is the most pigmented out there.

The third shade is Eyelid: a very soft and delicate pink with a hint of pearl. The pigmentation is medium. It looks much better with a base. The shade is dusty, too.

Swatch of all three shades:

With a flash:

The texture is loose but not dry. It picks up with a brush very well. There are no problems with blending and application. The hues go perfectly with one another and help create a gentle overflow. The only concern is that they are a bit dusty while applying.

The Wet n wild eyeshadow wears really long. The shades stay put from morning till night with a base without fading or creasing.

As I’ve already said, the palette is not the best option for an expressive evening makeup.

Now I’d like to show you some looks that I can get with the Sweet As Candy palette:

The most wearable and frequently used option with all shades of the palette:

Here, I’ve used the second and third colors:

When I want to get a brighter look, I apply the first and third colors to the white base. Also, I’ve used a bright blue eye pencil from Sleek just for a change.

Although the palette has some drawbacks, I’m very pleased with the results and would love to purchase some other palettes of this brand. Moreover, it’s great for the price.

Thanks for reading!
