Today my review is dedicated to mascara. Recently I bought Wet n Wild MAX VOLUME PLUS MASCARA and I want to share my thoughts about it.
The mascara is packed in a pink glossy tube, which looks (as well as costs) cheap. There are 8ml of the product inside.
The brush is made of silicone and has a tapered comb mascara wand. The wand is good and its bristles catch and coat my lashes well. But since the bristles are rather rough, they can scratch your lids, so be careful.
Formula: Within the first week of use, the mascara may be a bit runny. During that time, it could make my lashes stuck together and coat them too much. But later the formula got dryer and now it coats my lashes and separates beautifully.
Characteristics: My lashes aren’t the best in the world, as they are thin and short. So I desperately need a volume and lengthening effect from my mascara.
The manufacturer stated that this mascara is voluminous. But I can say that in one coat there’s no volume to my lashes, only a tad of lengthening.
Two coats look weary and not at all neat. My lashes look as though there are spider legs on them, but voluminous, yes. Maybe there are some who’ll love this result, but I’m not among them.
The color of the product is jet black with a slight glossy finish.
The staying power isn’t bad. During the day I don’t see it flaking or crumbling. Since I have oily eyelids, it stains them, but every mascara does so on me, except for the waterproof mascara.
If I wash it off with water, it makes me look like a raccoon with dark big black circles around my eyes. That’s why I prefer micellar water.
Sum up: For its money the product performs well, it doesn’t flake during wear and stays in place well. I’ll keep using this one, but I’m not sure that I’ll buy it again. If you want your lashes to be separated yet voluminous, then give this mascara a go.
Thank you for your attention!
