Max Volume Plus Mascara is the first product I tried by Wet n Wild. And to know my impressions of it, just keep on reading
The price was about $5.
The product is in a vibrant pink tube of a difficult to make out shape. For me it looks like a solid piece of metal. Since there isn’t much lettering to the tube, it looks stylish and simple.
Size: 8 ml
The brush is silicone. Even though I love synthetic bristles, this one made me fall for it. The brush shape is the most ideal that I can imagine. It’s tapered with a wide base that becomes thinner to the tip.
It seems to replicate the anatomical features of the eye, allowing you to coat even the most inaccessible and short eyelashes. The stopper is also very good, as the wand always takes out as much of the product as needed.
This mascara is released only in black and I want to say that it’s the blackest black I’ve ever seen. It coats my fair lashes beautifully and fully even from the first layer.
Max Volume Plus Mascara is creamy in consistency and of average thickness. I’ve been using it for a month regularly and it has become thicker, so I don’t think that it’ll last for more that 2 months.
I get beautiful and popping eyelashes even after first coating thanks to the mascara's thick, yet creamy texture.
There’s a drawback about this mascara. It sticks my lashes together.
And I can’t get rid of this stickiness even after I apply the second coat separating my lashes. All that’s in vain. The only thing that does help is a clean eyelash brush. I comb my lashes with it and get a nice result. Generally speaking I love the dramatic effect on my lashes and I’m delighted with the result the mascara provides me with. (If only I don’t look at the macro photos, of course).
The staying power is very good. I’ve never faced any problems wearing it. It doesn’t flake, stain or run in humid weather.
I remove it with micellar water or facial cleanser.
The bottom line: I liked Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara. But I don’t like wasting my time on make-up. So, if I find the mascara that will perform the same as this one, but will give me no stuck lashes, making me comb them with a clean brush all the time, I will opt for a new one.
Thanks for your attention! See you, guys!
