Hello matte lipsticks lovers!
The hero of my review today is the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Matte Lipstick. Before I started to write my review of this lipstick, I sat down and spent some time reading other reviews of the same product and I was rather surprised when I found out that there weren’t any negative feedback! And that’s pretty obvious for me, since this lipstick is one of the best matte lipsticks ever!
I have mine in the color
E930B. It’s a royal saturated red color that has blue undertones, which won’t actually be good to wear in the morning for my job, unfortunately.
Price: $4.99
Outer appearance: the lipstick comes packed with a see-through glass tube, which really shows us the real color of the formula inside. The design is simple, sleek and doesn’t have any frills to it. Of course if we don’t take the devilish shade into the account.
Aroma: it’s very subtle, yet chemical, like a combination of some fuel material and plastic. Thank God the smell doesn’t linger onto my lips.
Applicator: it’s soft and doe-foot. It’s nice to apply the product with. By the way, it usually takes out a lot of the formula from the tube.
Texture: moussy, yet not chunky. On the first go the product already applies smoothly and evenly.
Swatches:
The product looks glossy right after application, though the finish becomes absolutely matte within 30 seconds.
Here I tried to rub the swatch on my hand, but it was rather tricky for me to smudge it. You can see the pink pigment of the lipstick on the edges. I like that this lippie doesn’t stain anything, even if I touch my clothes or hands with my lips. I took me a while to wash off the swatch with micellar water, and yet it’s still detectable on my skin.
On my lips:Pros:
wear time. The product stays on for about 6 hours. It can easily survive some snacks;
the color is saturated and it really looks velvety red;
the applicator is super convenient;
the formula doesn’t dry out my lips (yes, that’s true). My lips don’t look tightened or super dry with this lipstick on.
the price is wallet-friendly;
even application;
it doesn’t budge or stain everything around
Cons:
Highly recommend this lipstick!!!
