Hello everybody!
I adore lip liners and want to share my discovery with you - Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners.
I love everything that comes to lips: lipsticks, liners, balms.
I can change my looks every day, thanks to different colors.
But it’s so tiresome and boring to use one and the same shade every day, considering the fact that it’s so difficult to find MY color of a lip product. Regular lipsticks fade too quickly, while liquid lipsticks are too drying for me.
I adore lip liners for their multi-tasking job: I can use them as lipsticks, as well as liners to outline my lip edges. Usually, lip liners come with a huge variety of shades.
I was lucky to face the Wet n Wild Gel Lip Liner collection. They were discounted and cost only $2. Swatching them at the store I understood that they were cool, that’s why I grabbed some shades at once.
So, what does the product promise?

I took 4 shades for me (even though the collection offers many more):
Outer appearance
All the liners have a black casing. They are made of a good quality plastic. The top caps are different in colors and they are color-coded with the lip liners inside. They aren’t big size-wise and are rather travel-friendly.
They really remind me of some high-end lip liners from other more pricey brands. For instance, IsaDora liners, but these ones are 3 times less expensive, but the quality is leveled up.
The liners aren’t too thin and they are average in size. I find them convenient when outlining my lips.
They’ll go a long way since there’s enough of the formula there.
Swatches of the shades and their characteristics:
The products are really soft, pigmented and easy to apply onto the lips. They don’t accentuate flaking skin or dry out my lips. (except the shade #1). They don’t show off my lip texture. They are comfortable to wear, no stickiness or lip tightening. If I don’t rub them or eat fatty food, then they’ll stay on really long. I usually wear them for 6 hours on average and during that time my lips look fine and the lip liners don’t smudge or anything.
You can also apply a lip balm or oil on top.
In general, I’m not a huge fan of matte lips as they always feel dry and I want to nourish them at once.
These liners are retractable. You won’t have to sharpen them.
The products on my lips
1. Never Petal Down
Gentle pink shade, which looks like a real rose petal. This one is very beautiful and tender.
2. Bare to Comment
Nude shade, which will be perfection for the everyday makeup look. It’s perfect when you don’t want your lips to look bright, yet still you want to accentuate their beauty. It’ll also fit into bright makeup nicely. I’m head over heels with such shades!
3.Gone Burgundy
Bright burgundy, intense plum shade. It’s killer! It applies smoothly, doesn’t look patchy and in general makes my pout vibrant and bold.
4.Plum Together
The saturated plum shade which will fit the bill of bright and daring gals.
Unfortunately, this very shade doesn’t apply smoothly. Moreover, it applies so strange over my flaking skin, forming odd dark clumps there. Before its application, you’ll have to work on your lips condition - scrub them and nourish with a lip mask or a balm.
I think that it’ll look better if you apply a lipstick over this lip liner.
BUT this very shade is a failure if used standalone.
ADVANTAGES OF THESE LIP LINERS:
beautiful shades
pleasant texture
they are easy to use and I don’t have to sharpen them
they are affordably-priced
they are super comfortable during wearing
