I’ve seen so many video reviews praising this foundation. Is it truly flawless under different lighting conditions? Is there really a light-adjusting complex? Well, let’s find out.

Size: 1 fl.oz

Price: $ 5

Cruelty-free.

Appearance: The foundation is housed in a solid glass bottle with a black plastic cap. Plus, it’s equipped with this spatula. Quite unhygienic yet better than nothing.

Among the 20 shades, I chose the Soft Ivory which is supposed to be Light Warm. I disagree Smile I’d say, this color is absolutely neutral light beige.

My skin is fair and most colors look too dark on it, but this time, a miracle happened and the color suited me perfectly.

Scent:

In every review I heard about the disgusting scent the foundation has, and I was waiting for it in horror.

But the devil is not so black as he is painted. Yep, the scent is weird, but I can’t say I find it repulsive. Plus it doesn’t linger on my face.

Formula and longevity

Now the most interesting part of my review. The brand says the foundation looks awesome under different lighting conditions and creates a camera ready makeup and a matte effect.

My skin is prone to face shine in the T-zone and is problematic with redness, little pimples, broken blood vessels and similar stuff.

The formula is very runny and must be applied and spread very quickly otherwise it solidifies and cannot be blended out anymore.

I apply this with a wet sponge to create a light to medium coverage. When applied with a brush, the foundation looks cakey.

Also, the foundation settles down into the pores and looks so horrendous that they turn into moon craters. I’ve never gotten this with any other foundation before.

The longevity is mediocre and definitely not satisfying. There is a matte effect but somehow, it makes my face appear flat. From a distance or through a camera lens, my skin looks good. There is no reddish undertone in real life.

The main problem is the face shine that appears after 4 hours of wear:

I totally hate this foundation: it’s hard to apply, it looks awful, it has a strange scent etc. I only use it in combination with the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Breathable. The latter, when used as a makeup base, doesn’t let this foundation sink into the pores plus improves the blendability of both products.

However, you may like the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation if you buy it for photos and videos only.
