To tell you the truth, I love makeup and quality makeup products. However, it’s so hard to find a really decent product when there are so many brands to choose from. It’s especially an issue when it comes to mascaras! Fortunately, you have me and I’d like to show you the results of my everlasting hunt for a perfect mascara. Today I’ll go through the Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll from YSL.

How did I happen to find this mascara?

I have quite short and light eyelashes. They are naturally straight and unruly. I’ve been trying to tame them with oils, lash Botox treatment, mascara bases, but it was in vain. I’ve tried a good deal of various mascaras, like Givenchy, Dior, Clinique and Chanel.

I wasn’t much impressed with them and my lashes didn’t look spectacular till the moment I came across this golden go-to, the YSL Babydoll Mascara.

• Nice smell without any hint of anything chemical

• so enjoyable to use

Just look at this gorgeous tube! It’s always nice to work with pretty makeup products.

I can safely wear it up to 12 hours.

• separates my eyelashes

The silicone brush wand is very nice to use. You won’t have to correct anything after application.

• suitable for sensitive eyes

There is no burning. I feel very comfortable wearing it. It has never caused any irritation on me.

• creates a false lash effect, though my lashes look quite natural.

It gives some volume, length and intense color to my lashes.

• amazing color

It’s a pitch black mascara without any hint of blue.

Its cons:

• doesn’t go far, because it dries out very quickly and becomes flakey.

• available in one color only.

I guess the shade will be too dark for those who love natural-looking lashes.

• check the expiration date before purchasing

If the product was produced a long time ago, don’t buy it.

I recommend you try this mascara, especially if you love accentuating your eyes and making bright and bold makeup looks. This mascara will make your lashes look better. It wears really long and is very easy to work with. If you love natural makeups, consider the color before purchasing.
