Luxury is always pleasant. And high-end products always lure me with their sounding promises, at the same time they also pull me away with their price tags.
And even though my skin care game has been mostly centered around Japanese skin care products or high-end basic ones because of my reactive skin type, I was still too curious to try this magic cream. Is the Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream worth the price?
I’ll find it out.
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream
Completely high-end. Even though the jar’s lettering had been scratched off because I was always carrying it with me in my pouch (hell, no, this was not gonna happen), the jar still looks much better than any other product that I own. The plastic is the finest and it truly looks like glassed. The golden cap comes with the branded logo on it.

The jar here is heavy, sleek with a see-through capsule inside. This babe offers 15 ml of the product and it looks heftier than those tubes which have 50ml in them. Yeah, this is all because it looks high-end.

Initially, the cream inside was protected with an inner liner, which I eventually lost somewhere.
I hope that they don’t make us pay for the beautiful tube but still for the contents of this product.
They say that this cream was initially meant only for top models' skin for quick relief of dull skin color. But since the product had become too hyped, they also decided to release it into the masses. Was it the right decision?

Lately, it always takes me a lot of time to write a review, so this product is almost among the “empties” category. Yet still, I managed to scoop out a little for a swatch.>_<

But even that amount will still show you that the consistency of it is really thick. I mean it. I’d even say that it’s more like a face balm, rather than a classic moisturizer.
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream
The smell is pretty potent here - it’s vibrant, floral and long-lasting. I can feel it for more than 30 minutes on my hands, though my nose isn’t the most sensitive in the world.

It’s not so easy to distribute over my skin which also results in a rather huge spending. It doesn’t want to sink in quickly and I can’t even say that it never soaks up to the fullest.
When I applied it for the first time, it worked wonders with my skin.
Within 5 minutes, it was able to bring my dry and tighten skin back to life.
It felt really hydrated and so soft. I even had a feeling that my skin had become thicker.
When I applied the dried foundation (for instance the liquid NYX foundation), there were still no flaking patches visible on my skin.
My foundation used to look flawless over this cream. It didn’t crease, oxidize or anything…
But that was only for the first time of use.
The second application brought my skin an “oh, well” sensation.
The third use made it break out and shine with oil.
My skin was terrible and my make up was sliding off it.
My idea is that this product could not be accumulated over my dry and picky skin type.
But this is not what I was expecting from a moisturizer that cost so much.
Yet still, I can see those people who will be raving about this product: Makeup artists.
As you know, good skin care before makeup application is everything for makeup artists. And this product will be a miracle for them because it’s able to revive even the driest skin type.
As for me, it’s more like a SOS helper and I’d never use it daily.
As for pore clogging, I don’t know how to comment upon this aspect. You see, my skin may not break out at once if the product is comedogenic. It usually takes about 2 weeks for that. While here, I didn’t even use this product for more than 4 days in a row.

The product comes with several sizes - 0.5 oz - $29, 1 oz - $64, 0.7 oz - $100.
The price is far from being affordable, that’s true.
I’ve already mentioned that I haven’t received what I was hoping from the product that costs so much.
Magic can go overboard.
Though if I can use it once a month, then yes, this is true MAGIC in a jar!
I can’t recommend this moisturizer for purchasing!
