Pros: absorbs well, nice smell, not sticky
Cons: no accumulative effect, not suitable for winter

Hey Cuties!

One of my favorite and important issues in winter is hand care. I don’t have the most problematic skin. In summer I don’t even use any creams. I need them only after contact with water. As soon as the weather gets windy and cold, my skin becomes taut and feels very uncomfortable.

Therefore I always have a hand cream in a small tube in my purse so I don't overweigh my cosmetic bag.

The cream I used before didn’t impressed me at all, as it didn’t perform well and I hardly had any results. I was applying it to my hands, it was absorbing in a minute and its performance ended there. After that I started using the Clarins Creme Jeunesse des Mains Oranger Hand Cream.

The brand is generally famous for their powder, concealer, face oil and tanning booster or at least I just heard a lot of positive reviews about these products.

Moreover, I even tried their powder myself. As for their hand creams, I knew nothing. One day I received it for testing and thought: ‘Well, who knows, maybe it would be my favorite hand cream.’

General characteristics.

  • Full name: Clarins Creme Jeunesse des Mains Oranger Hand and Nail Treatment Cream.

  • Country: France

  • Price: $30

  • Volume: 30 ml, which is perfect for a woman’s purse.

  • Shelf life: 18 months after opening.

Packaging.

This cream is a limited edition of the legendary Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream. It differs from the initial version by the design and scent. Unfortunately, I can’t compare the scents of these creams. I only read their product descriptions on the Internet.

In terms of the design, the limited edition is more eye-catching. The initial version looks quite dull without any frills.

As for my option, the manufacturer did quite a good job and adorned the packaging with a leaf and flower wreath of an orange tree. It’s not much, but better than nothing.

On the package you can find all the necessary information.

The cream comes in a convenient, flat plastic tube. The design of the tube is the same as that of the paper package.

Everything looks quite simple and without frills except for the orange tree leaf wreath.

The tube is of the most ordinary type with a screw cap.

It’s quite lightweight, which is understandable, because it has only 30 ml of the product Smile The nozzle is easy to use

and the cream doesn’t flow. Initially it was covered with a protective foil.

The cream comes out by pressing the tube.

Organoleptic properties

Color. The cream is absolutely white without any impurities.

Scent. Too bad I don’t know what an orange tree and its leaves smell like, I know only how its product, i.e. the orange smells.

However, this product doesn’t really smell like oranges. The scent is intensely floral, potent and quite memorable.

It reminds me of a sunny day in spring, when the flowers are blooming. Their scent is not off-putting.

This is a scent that lasts all day on me after I use this hand cream.

Consistency. The product is thick like a whipped sour cream. It spreads out and glides over my skin very easily. It absorbs into my skin without leaving any tacky film.

Ingredients:

I’m sorry to say, but the ingredients are far from being beneficial given that the wholesome plant extracts and oils are somewhere at the end of the list. This is probably the reason this cream was not so effective for my hands.

My impressions.

❤ According to the product description, the manufacturer doesn’t promise us anything huge.

I mean, yes: the tube is convenient to use, the design with leaves is beautiful and the scent is unforgettable. I agree with all these claims. So, I don’t have gripes about that.

❤ Why is this product so pricey then? The price is not so hefty, but I believe that this mediocre cream with only 30 ml is a little bit pricey, as it doesn’t do anything special. Applied to your hands? Good. Didn’t apply to your hands? All right then.

Yes, it does moisturize my skin just a teeny bit, but the effect is not enough for winter.

In an hour I want to reapply the product, because my skin feels taut again.

The cream doesn’t go far.

I’m in a constant need to use this cream, so it lasted for a week and a half for me. I used it mornings, nights and a few times throughout the day.

❤ I guess this hand cream is perfect for the summertime and not for windy weather, when your skin is already in good condition and not dry.

The cream is best suitable for the time when you don’t actually need it. It sounds weird Smile

❤ This gorgeous tube is nothing but a nice trifle to treat yourself. It’s good for a gift and as a gift, but don’t expect anything huge. Don’t purchase it on purpose.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is just a beautiful packaging and a bluff.

I gave this product 4 stars given that the manufacturer doesn’t promise anything big.

The only drawback is the lack of any sense in this cream. My point is that I don’t get why purchasing a cream that has only beautiful packaging and a nice smell? However, I don’t have anything against it. There is always a buyer for any product.

Thank you all for your attention and happy shopping!
