Today I suggest we examine the latest 2018 launch from Clinique together. It’s about the Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-replenishing Hydrator.
For the time being I actively restore my skin after winter and try moisturizing it the best I can, while removing all dry bits and taut skin.
If you are into weightless gel formulas, you’re gonna love this new product. I’m not a fan of thick and nourishing textures and use them in winter only.
In spring and summer I prefer using gel-like products, so the Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-replenishing Hydrator is a perfect match for me.
I have combination skin that is prone to dryness at the moment. As you know, such skin requires moisture and nourishment to the fullest extent.
This gel-cream is said to be used as a second step right after washing and cleaning the face. According to the maker, it ensures 72 hours of moisture even after washing. Also, it has to combat dryness and tautness caused by dehydrated skin.
The cream is available in 15, 30, 50 and 75 ml. The contents come in a plastic jar with a silver screw cap on top.
Inside there is a protective top lid. The gel itself is half-transparent and has a pretty light-pink hue.
The active ingredients there are:
The scent is subtle, not off-putting and hardly perceptible.
The texture is ultra-lightweight and gel-like, so it spreads out on my skin and absorbs so well. No oily or sticky film is left after applying.
The wear is very nice. I apply this cream as a makeup base in the morning right after I wash my face and tap it dry with a tissue.
As a result my skin becomes hydrated and refreshed in tracks. The dry patches are smoothed out, so the foundation applies way better.
The gel-cream is hypoallergenic, plus it doesn’t make me break out or clog my pores. Therefore I can recommend it to any skin type. The manufacturer says that it’s a multi-functional product:
Multi-tasking formula can be used anytime skin needs a moisture boost, under or over makeup, or as a 5-minute mask.
First things first.
I used it as a 5-minute mask and I loved it! The result is so cool! If you have dry patches, it removes them instantaneously. I even had it more than 5 minutes, but the effect is the same.
Also, it moisturizes my cuticles perfectly and my skin here is moisturized longer.
In terms of the ingredients, they are pretty good and far from being just moisturizing. It contains the following beneficial ingredients: Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Birch Bark Extract, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Aloe Leaf Water, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, Caffeine, etc.
On the plus side, it goes really far, as a pea-size amount is enough for my entire face. After application my skin feels silky smooth and nice to the touch. I want to touch it over and over again, the feel is incredible!
I believe that the Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-replenishing Hydrator is best suited for the summertime, as it sinks in so fast and makes my skin startlingly refreshed.
Price: $39 for 50 ml.
