Today I’d like to tell you about the first product with acids I started using in my skincare routine. The stuff with various acids are beneficial for problem, oily and aging skin, because they stimulate cell regeneration and help cleanse your pores.
I’ve opted for the Korean COSRX brand, because their ingredients are almost all-natural and the reviews are positive. Moreover, the prices are affordable.
I purchased it along with the COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser, because it was a total bargain.
So, what is this liquid product?

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Sodium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol , Sodium Hyaluronate , Xanthan Gum , Ethyl Hexanediol
Those who know something about the ingredients won’t appreciate this list.
However, it has some beneficial ingredients.
The liquid itself comes in a sleek bottle made of matte and quality plastic.
The pump dispenser is very good and works well enough. It doesn’t spit the product. The pipe hose goes to the bottom of the bottle.
The cap is transparent and closes tightly.
The product itself is transparent and a little bit thicker than water. It has a distinct medicine smell. Pressing the pump once, you get the following amount of the liquid:
What does the manufacturer promise?
AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is formulated to resurface the skin and renew the complexion, giving a radiant, reduces the appearance of whiteheads.
AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid includes apple water containing natural AHA and Glycolic Acid, cleans up the skin and relaxes pores with dead skin cell and other skin trouble, removing whiteheads in pores also.
AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid clears off old dead skin cell inside the pores and works with vitamin, whiteners and natural moisturizer as treatment, to manage dead skin cell without stimulation, to help with management of skin making it healthier and more vital.
Attention!
The manufacturer recommends using this product in the evenings, because our skin is exposed to the sun during the day. If you use the products with acids at this time of the day, it can cause growth or appearance of dark marks. So, if you want to use it during the day, apply a sunscreen!
More than that, you shouldn’t use high-concentrate products with AHA, BHA acids, retinol and Vitamin C after this liquid to avoid skin irritation.
This stuff didn’t cause any irritation on my oily and non-sensitive skin, but some areas with breakouts did burn a little bit. So, keep it in mind and use very carefully if you have sensitive skin.
What results did I have?
Initially I was using it according to the suggested use. I applied it every 4 or 7 days in the evening only after washing my face with a foaming cleanser. I applied it to my dry skin with a cotton pad and massaged my skin except the areas around my eyes and lips gently. I believed that a cotton pad added to the exfoliation of my skin.
However, it doesn’t really exfoliate it and a little doesn’t go a long way then. Now I apply this product with my hands. I press the pump twice, rub it in my hands and spread it out onto my skin. I use it every 2 or 3 days after washing and sometimes after a toner.
The effect and my impressions of use:
I wasn’t wowed by the results instantaneously, of cause. It is not even possible against real problem skin, but this product moisturized my skin really well and made it smoother and softer right after the first use. Also, it seized redness and irritation overnight.
This product helped me remove the closed comedones on my chin and cheekbones somewhere after a month of use. I’ve been struggling with them for 6 months at that time!
Moreover, it seized the amount of breakouts significantly. My acne spots started fading and disappearing quicker.
All in all, I loved this glycolic product and now I put high hopes on it!
