Hello there!
Right here I want to say that it was a spontaneous purchase. At first I wanted to buy a foundation by some other brand, but unfortunately it was sold out and a sale girl advised me to give a go with this L.A. Girl PRO.Coverage Illuminating Foundation in the color GML642-Fair as I have dry skin.
As far as I know this is the fairest color in the line and you know I’m very far from being pale or having a fair complexion! The foundation is a little bit fatty to the touch. It gives a satin finish and rather decent coverage which isn’t thick yet not thin, just as I like! But once I looked at the bottle I was doubting about the color. It seemed to be too yellow for me. That was the moment when the sales girl understood my hesitation and started to persuade me that the product wasn’t yellow at all. She even called another sales girl who told us that she was wearing this very foundation and I saw how beautiful this product looked on her skin.
Well, all in all they persuaded me and I bought this L.A. Girl PRO.coverage Illuminating Foundation.
Close-ups:
The pump isn't actually good. It throws out the products and it flows down the bottle
On my hand:
Consistency-wise the product is rather runny and the texture is more gel-like, I'd say
a little bit blended out
Can you see that yellow cast too? Damn power of persuasion
blended out
Let’s have a look at the product on my face:
My nude skin with only moisturizing cream on:
uneven skin tone, dark under eye circles and rosacea on the sides of my nose
pimples on my forehead
Here I applied some foundation with my favorite Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Miracle Complexion Sponge.
My made-up face:
The application with a sponge was good. The foundation isn’t very visible on the skin, the product camouflages all my skin imperfections and I was almost ready to give it 4 stars when I noticed that nasty yellow cast
It’s difficult to show you all the yellow color it gives through the picture but I can say that if I apply some natural beige powder over and some bronzer, my complexion looks better.
I think this picture will show you all the unnatural shade of the foundation in comparison with my complexion.
on the left - some foundation applied, on the right - nude skin
One more disadvantage is that the product doesn’t stay long on my face. It stays on for 4 hours max and only if I set it with powder beforehand! So, only 3 stars from me!
