… You all have probably already heard of the young South Korean Heimish brand. It’s become hyped and famous mostly because of their All Clean Cleansing Balm. It’s a product similar to cleansing oils. At first it transforms into an oil and once it contacts water, the consistency turns into a white emulsion.
I’d better start off with a spring/summer funny packaging. The design of the package makes me raving about it!
I have a confession, for a couple of days after the purchase, it seemed crucial for me to throw the box into the garbage. :)
The jar is of white thick plastic. The maker included a small spatula under the top cap for a handy scooping of the product. By the way, it’s better to flip the top, rather than screw it. You’ll definitely be too lazy to do so each time.
Drag the membrane and here it is - the snow-white cleansing balm:
This cleanser balm is hypoallergenic and great for sensitive skin type.
White flower complex improves skin balance and skin tone.
Shea butter, citrus herb oil, and coconut extract helps to moisturize, soothe and soften skin.
Gently removes even the most long-lasting makeup and leaves skin feeling soft and protected
The balm doesn’t contain any nasties like parabens or mineral oils - I know that’s an important thing for a lot of people.
In the jar the balm seems to be hard and stiff, but it’s deceitful. The texture is melting.
The cleansing properties of the product are top notch. It really removes everything, even my long-wearing makeup. No pores clogging and it doesn’t affect my skin condition for worse. And everything seems to be fine about it - big size, price and effectiveness - but still I don’t reach it and don’t want to use. :(
I’ll explain you why:
The first thing that disappointed me is the smell of this balm.
I don’t know why they don’t mention the smell in their reviews but, am I the only one who can feel the notes of old rancid butter? I can’t bear it. For me the smell of my cosmetic products is so important and here it’s so disgusting.
The second drawback about this cleansing balm for me is the following. Even though the texture is melting and does melt over my skin, yet still the oil seems to be much thicker than regular cleansing oils. There’s no light texture, which could let me additionally massage my skin with it. I had the Clinique balm and its texture was so great and it could easily transform into a more lightweight and pleasant oil on my skin.
The third con. The balm tingles my eyes. But I feel like it’s only my own individual reaction, because I looked through a lot of reviews and no one complained about it.
Considering all the disadvantages of the product, I have to say that I’m frustrated.
I anticipated raving about this product, but now it looks like I expected too much from it. :):)I still keep this balm on my shelf, but I hardly ever use it. Only when I’m wearing really long-lasting makeup. What’s more, the product goes a long way and I deem it’ll be enough to use for a year indeed. :)****************************************************************************************
