Greeting to all those reading my post!
I received this mask as a present for purchases from the Kiehl’s reps. I have it in the mini size which is 14 ml. Well, it looks rather presentable, right?
The price on the official site is $45 for a 3.4 fl.oz jar.
The product description sounds really promising:
This lightweight gel mask, formulated with hand-picked Calendula flower petals and Aloe Vera, bursts into a refreshing surge of cooling hydration upon application to instantly achieve hydrated and soothed skin. With continued use, skin is revitalized for a healthy-looking complexion.
Well, it all sounds good, so let’s check the promises with the list of ingredients:
Well, I stopped reading it after the Phenoxyethanol, because I can see that all those charming and promising ingredients are included only as the tiniest bit of the formula.
Glycerin and aloe leaf juice. Are you kidding me? These components aren’t new or extraordinary. I mean, the mask will really be hydrating but you won’t see any innovative results with it for sure. And yeah, they recommend us to leave the mask on for 5 minutes. I can tell you that all the gained results will be washed off within 5 minutes.
The outer appearance of the jar is pretty nice, especially due to all those calendula leaves. I can really see them in the formula and feel by touch. The consistency is smooth and gel-like.
Overall: Since the mask says to apply and leave on 5 minutes, don’t expect that it’ll work wonders with your skin, especially considering the shitty list of ingredients that it has. The components just don’t have enough time to work on my skin. I was using it for a month, waiting for the aloe vera to start working. But alas, the components were too poor to give me any visible results. There are many other more natural-based and more affordable price-wise products on the market, infused with the aloe vera leaf extract.
However, the product does look alluring. I wish it also worked good.
