Pros: compact, handy packaging, moisturizing, nice texture, nourishing, perfect for on the go, protection from wind
Cons: can be less effective for extremely dry skin

Hey!

I’d like to share my thoughts on the product that makes my life much easier Smile

I’d like to start off by saying a few words about my skin type. I have dry skin on my face and body. It’s more of a combination type in summer.

Other than that, for about 9 and even 10 months I have to counter taut and itching skin with dry patches. I didn’t pay much attention to my body skin, because I could just put a light cream on it and it’s fine. However, it was a total disaster with my face.

As soon as it gets just a teeny bit colder than usual, I have peeling all over my cheeks, nose and chin.

It goes without saying that foundation as well as cosmetics in general looks so bad, but it wasn’t the main problem for me.

Last winter I noticed that I had red spots on my knuckles, as if I was fighting with someone. After a while they appeared all over my hands because of the temperature outside. It looked especially bad when I didn’t wear gloves. It reminded me of hives.

I’ve been using drugstore creams and enviously looked at beautiful hands of other girls. When winter was over, I was happy to forget about this trouble.

But this trouble didn’t forget about me Smile

This fall I had such an awful allergy. If hadn’t put on my gloves, I had red spots, dry patches and incredibly itching skin. I almost had cracks on my knuckles.

After a while all these appeared on my face! Nourishing creams and serums were useless. My skin was getting only redder. Here, I started worrying and went to the doctor. I learnt from him that it was neurodermatitis or atopic dermatitis, and it was a genetic thing. Here, the La Roche-Posay brand helped me.

I’ve changed my whole skin routine. Lipikar Baume AP+ was especially helpful and effective. It removed all these awful spots on my face and body in no time.

Now it’s always in my makeup bag.

So I was really excited to try the new version of this product.

Packaging:

The product is compact as compared to the Lipikar Baume tube. The material is of really high quality. The cap is very tight and doesn’t open in my handbag. The writing doesn’t fade over time.

It’s very comfortable for me to use it on the go. It was different with the tube, which I was carrying in my bag earlier.

Under the cap there is a protective plastic top. The product itself looks classy and white. It’s fragrance-free and swivels up and back down very well, so the product itself is safe.

Now about the texture:

It’s amazing! After using Lipikar Baume AP+ I thought that this version would have a thicker and oilier texture, but in reality it’s the same lightweight, gentle and nourishing.

After application an oily sheen appears. It feels somewhat waxy but it doesn’t have any white residue. In 30-60 seconds the oily sheen disappears completely. My skin is very soft and silky smooth! I can even work with papers and hold my phone easily.

I’ve tried to show you this sheen after application.

The performance of this stick is almost the same as Lipikar Baume AP+, but the texture is lighter.

Dry patches are getting softer, the itchiness and redness gradually disappear. My hands don’t get cracked even in the cold wind. After application the effect lasts for quite some time, even if you wash your hands.

The most important thing, however, is that the product ensures an accumulative effect. Neurodermatitis is nowhere to be seen.

To achieve better results the manufacturer recommends to apply it after Lipikar Baume AP+ throughout the day.

This stick is not very handy when applying it to both hands, fingers etc, it’s more like for particular areas.

By the way, you can use this stick for your face. I’ve tried it. The foundation distributes very well. My face didn’t look greasy or anything. However, I prefer applying this product to my hands, because I use Lipikar Baume AP+ and Toleriane Ultra for that purpose.

It’s such a worthy addition to my makeup bag and a good substitute for Lipikar Baume AP+.
