Hey sweeties! Wink

Everybody is talking about The Ordinary skincare products. This camera-friendly bottle appeared in every post on my Instagram and Youtube, so one day I thought that I desperately needed one too.

I’ve ordered a few serums of this brand, but after a while I’ve purchased most of their products, because I saw the obvious results.

So today I’d like to share my thoughts on The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% serum with you.

Almost every product of this brand comes in glass bottles with a dropper, which look like some medicine or professional skin care. The bottle looks really cute on the shelf in my bathroom.

The Ordinary is one of the brands from the Canadian Deciem company. Their concept is very simple: they produce really effective products consisting of 1 or 2 active ingredients for an affordable price. It’s no surprise that they are so popular right now.

I didn’t use acids very often, but now I’ve decided to add them in my daily skincare routine with the permission of my beautician.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% is a serum with 10% lactic and 2% hyaluronic acids.

Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxyl acid that exfoliates the skin. This 10% formulation offers mild exfoliation and is supported with a purified Tasmanian pepperberry known to reduce signs of inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation.

The lactic acid is available in 2 versions here: 5% and 10%. Both options are suitable for daily skin care, even for dry skin.

Hyaluronic acid is familiar almost to everybody, I guess, so there is no need to talk much about it. This type of acid is thought to moisturize your skin and intensify the regeneration of your skin cells.

Now the list of the ingredients for those who are interested:

Aqua (Water), Lactic Acid, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Arginine, Potassium Citrate, Triethanolamine, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Ethyl 2,2-Dimethylhydrocinnamal, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol.

This product has a gel-like and watery consistency with a tad sour smell. I think it smells like dried fruit. The serum has a light-orange color in the bottle, but it’s transparent in reality.

I need only 5-6 drops for my whole face, neck and decollete area. The necessary amount is easy to pick up due to the convenient dropper.

I apply this serum after cleaning my skin. Then I wait a few minutes and apply a cream to my face.

The serum applies really easy. It feels very pleasant. Plus, it glides over my face softly. It absorbs quickly leaving my skin a little bit sticky. However, this unpleasant sensation disappears after I apply the cream.

I don’t feel any stinging. However, some girls will feel it.

I use the product every morning and night. I’ve been using this serum only for a month.

I have normal skin that is prone to getting oily in my T-zone. I have blackheads and some moderate-size pores on my cheeks and nose. I’m not prone to breakouts, but I have some small scars after pimples, which appear every month.

I’ve noticed the first results after a week and a half. My skin became more moisturized and incredibly soft and nice to the touch. The most important thing is, however, that my acne scars disappeared on my chin.

As a rule, the spots after pimples stay for quite a long period of time on my skin, but lactic acid helps me get rid of them way faster.

My friend tested The Ordinary serum with me. She has dry problem skin with regular breakouts, acne scars and dry patches. She noticed the result right after the first use. She said that her skin became more hydrated, the scars got less visible and the skin tone got evener.

However, keep in mind that you have to use a cream with SPF after acid serum! It has to have SPF 30 at least, even when it’s winter, even when it’s not at all sunny outside.

I’ve used up only one third of this bottle for a month and a half.

I’m really pleased with the results! I got what I wanted from The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%, i.e. it moisturized my skin, made my acne scars less visible and evened out my skin tone.

I use other products of this brand at the moment and I love how my skin looks!

Price: ~ $15

Thanks for reading! Be always beautiful! Wink
