If you are a music addict, never resist but surrender! Yes, the Portable JBL Flip 3 Bluetooth Speaker is pricey, but the item is worth every penny due to its sound quality and multi-usability. It is compatible with your phone, iPod, tablet or laptop. I wanted to write just a few words about my experience, but while writing all the pros about it, these few words formed a full review.
DESIGN:
The speaker reminds me of a big beer can or a thermos, so it is hard to guess that the tool has nothing to do with drinks and beverages.
The cylindrical housing is covered in a fabric and goes with soft silicone patches on each side. Everything looks great.
QUALITY:
I had JBL headphones once. They worked just fine, plus they were affordable and lasted for quite a while.
When I hold this portable speaker in my hands now, I wonder, why haven’t I bought it earlier if I knew about the quality of the brand?
The device is far from being lightweight. All the parts are assembled perfectly and look as one. Besides that, the fabric is so nice to the touch. Some details are made of soft rubber.
According to the manufacturer, it is splash proof, so it survives rain and spills, but I’m not going to check the statement literally.
The only thing I checked was the sturdy housing. I’ve dropped it on the ground accidentally, but the speaker works well without any sound distortion. Plus, the housing is safe and sound.
SOUND:
The sound is the best of both worlds. I was blown away with this detail when I was checking the quality in the store. I couldn’t even imagine that the sound was so crystal clear and powerful. It gives the same great sound as home theater systems.
It has two stereo speakers 8 W each situated near the JBL logo. Along the sides you can find 2 passive radiators.
USE:
The portable speaker is nice to use outdoors, at the beach or in a car. The music is conveyed through the Bluetooth function.
The battery supports up to 10 hours of playtime and charges fully in 3 hours with a regular USB.
You can regulate the sound level or answer a phone call in the speaker mode pushing the buttons at the control board. The speaker mode is only available if you have connected your device with your phone.
There is also a trick. You can connect your portable speaker with another speaker of the same brand that support JBL Connect to amplify the listening experience.
ORIGINAL OR FAKE:
There are lots of JBL fakes nowadays. They are sometimes great quality, that it is hard to distinguish them from the authentic versions. So, purchase the speaker from authorized sellers only.
CONS:
There is only one downside. The speaker comes with no charger. The box contains a USB cable, instruction booklet and warranty.
It is also desirable to include the bag for the speaker.

JBL is an American audio electronics company popular among music lovers. They produce awesome portable speakers. JBL rock!
I gravitated towards the red speaker more, but it was not available, so I picked up the black option. I do not regret any penny. The device always makes my day.
