Pros: beautiful color range, compact, easy to use, instant photos, vintage photos
Cons: constant firing flash

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share my thoughts on FUJIFILM Instax mini 8.

Specifications:

Dimensions & Weight: 116mm x 118.3mm x 68.2mm / 307g (without batteries, strap and film pack)

Picture size: 62 x 46mm

Power Supply: Two LR6/AA-size 1.5V alkaline batteries

Capacity: 10 film packs (based on our company research)

Shooting range / Focusing range: 0.6m - ∞

The camera comes with a wrist strap, 2x AA batteries and User Manual.

It’s available in 7 colors: white, black, yellow, pink, blue, grape and raspberry. So you have a chance to choose the color for your liking.

There are 6 exposure modes to choose from: Indoors, Night, Cloudy, Sunny, Sunny and bright, Hi-Key. The camera determines the best mode for your picture indicating it with a flashing LED. However, it won’t signal you about Hi-Key, which provides soft and bright photos with less contrast. The function works for this model only, but I’ve never tried it actually Smile

The camera is extremely easy to use! There are no complicated settings there, you just choose the appropriate exposure mode and take a picture. But you might take some pains doing it, because the picture in the viewfinder and the result are quite different sometimes. The reason is that the viewfinder is situated above and on the left of the lens, but you get used to it after a while. It’s noteworthy that the flash is always on, which bothers me sometimes.

There is no denying that not all the pictures you take are exactly what you wanted to get. But for me every photo shows particular moments that are worth remembering. I feel warm inside when I see the picture and remember the day. In addition, it’s so cool to watch it develop Smile

The photos look vintage and overexposed sometimes, thus creating such a unique atmosphere.

By the way, I present my friends with the pictures and they love it Smile

Verdict:

Film cameras are on-trend now and it’s not going to back off any time soon. I think that Instax is worth considering. It’s one of the most budget-friendly cameras. Besides, the films for mini versions are cheaper than for other models.

Price: ca. $ 70-80
