Hello everybody! Smile Today I want to share my opinion about the interesting balm, which everybody is already aware of, since it has appeared in stores - Lucas' Papaw Ointment.

The design is very cute but simple with no sophistication. A soft plastic tube with a screw top and sealed like most simple baby creams.

A few words about the product from the manufacturer:

Lucas Papaw ointment may be used as a local topical application for: Chapped Lips, Minor Burns, Chafing, Cuts, Gravel Rash, Minor Open Wounds, Nappy Rash, Scalds, Sunburn Splinters and Thorns, Temporary relief of the symptoms of dermatitis and eczema.

Pawpaw is a good source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes.

Ideal for use, amongst other things, as a lip balm, skin moisturiser, a soother of baby skin and sun dried skin, a softener of hard skin, the control of eyebrows and hair styling.

Ingredients: Carica Papaya 39mg/g Fresh Fermented Fruit, potassium sorbate 0.1 mg/g as preservative. Note: this product is petroleum-based.

I’ve got 25g balm, though as I’ve already said in the headline, there are also Lucas' Papaw Ointment in 15, 75 and 200g. The last two are in jars, not tubes.

Take into consideration that the 15g balm has bevel-edged lip applicator. I’ll probably buy that size for my hand bag later, as now I have to take some balm with my finger to then apply onto the lips.

Consistency: it’s not very difficult to see that the balm looks like transparent ointment. Fatty and pleasant, I like such types of balms the most.

The scent is very interesting, not repelling. It’s very light, soft and almost indistinguishable. For me it smells like cough syrup or something medical with a vanilla scent. The list of uses is endless!

It can be applied when you’ve got:

- dry skin, chapped lips

- sunburn

- insect bites

- cuts and grazes and many other minor skin problems

I found several uses for myself:

- when I have peeling skin - no matter whether it’s face or body

- when my skin is irritated, especially when my nose is running

- for my cuticles and around nails for good moisture.

It’s so small, but so functional and is really good for every use I described:)

My favorite way to use it, is for lips, I think. My lips are always dry and now they peel a lot. That’s why I have this balm with me all the time, both day and night.

Straight after application, the dryness and tightness disappear from my lips. The skin smooths and looks taken care of. If I use it regularly I don’t notice any dryness but as soon as I stop doing it, everything comes back, which is to be expected.

The moisturizing and nourishing effect is seen above, the product does its job very well. It takes care of, protects, heals and kills pain. It lasts on my lips for 2 or 3 hours, which is quite a long time. However the balm’s has one big flaw - if you apply too much it can flow out of the edges. Of course it won’t be seen, as its has translucent consistency but many people will not like that. Besides many people like to use balms before lipsticks.

In general Lucas' Papaw Ointment has become a magic wand, it protects and saves my skin. I do recommend it. Smile
