•●•● Hello! •●•●
I became interested in Korean cosmetics recently, so I’ve purchased some products in online shops.
When I was reading about Korean cosmetics, I learnt that many products contain snail secretion and that it’s a very healthy ingredient. It can moisturize your skin, smooth out your wrinkles and clear your face from acne. So, I decided to give it a shot without thinking twice.
I purchased Mizon cream.
Country: South Korea
Volume: 45 ml
I received the cream in a cardboard box. The design is very simple, but cute. The packaging has all the necessary information, but mostly in Korean.
The cream itself is in a soft plastic packaging of a pink color, the same as the cardboard box.
All the information on the cream is in Korean, except for manufacturer, volume and Mizon web site.
The cream was covered in a protective film. It has a common screw cap also. The cream comes out easily.
Color: transparent
Scent: hardly noticeable, neutral.
Texture: gel cream. I think it’s transparent and easy to apply like a gel and soft like a cream.
My skin: I’m 24 years old, combination skin with problems (acne, post acne spots, black spots)
I’ve been using this cream for a month and a half. I liked it at the beginning. The skin was soft, smooth and moisturized. I felt it for the first time and it remained for almost the whole day.
It seemed so perfect then, but it was far from it. In a month I noticed some little whiteheads (closed comedones) on the chin I’ve never had before. I thought that it was because of the cream, but I continued using it. In two weeks more and more comedones appeared. I came across some information that said that snail cosmetics clog pores sometimes. So I realized that a positive result is out of the question then.
After that, I stopped using this cream and switched to aloe gel.
Сomedones didn’t disappear until then, so I think that this cream is to blame for it. As you know, closed comedones do not vanish just like that, so one should visit a beautician.
So this is my negative experience. I do not recommend the product to people with problematic skin, as it’s very likely that it’ll make your skin condition even worse. It will probably do good for those with dry and normal skin, but again I wouldn't be so sure.
Hope you find my review helpful
