I wanted to try Jo Malone for a very long time. I was curious if the brand was really worth its hype. I received a Jo Malone gift certificate for my 30th birthday and decided to finally check it out!
Designer Jo Malone London has 89 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1990 and the newest is from 2017.

I decided to read everything about Jo Malone fragrances first, learn their pyramids and then try 2 of them on my wrist. As a result, I got interested in Peony&Blush Suede and Blackberry&Bay, but picked up the first one.
Design:
The packaging is expensive-looking and gorgeous!
The bottle with a silver cap and atomizer is tall and simple.

The top notes - red apple
The heart notes are - Peony, Jasmine, Carnation, Rose
The base note is - Suede
Drydown
The scent itself is very simple. At the beginning, I feel a fresh and a tad sour apple.
A short time later, the fragrance unfolds completely and I can smell peony. I’m totally obsessed with peonies! They are so fluffy, odorous and pretty! I felt no scent of jasmine or carnation, though, but a subtle and a delicate hint of rose with peony.
I didn’t want the scent of suede to be strong and so I was glad that it wasn't. It emphasizes peony slightly and makes it last longer. Thanks, Jo Malone London because there’s no distinct suede scent! All the notes are natural. I don’t feel any chemical ingredients, although almost every perfumer adds them now.
Sillage
At the beginning, the sillage is noticeable and I’m sure it’s because of peony. It’s so luscious and sweet, but not long-lasting. You can safely use it at work without any fear that you would make somebody sick. It’s not the perfume that extends for 3 km after you’ve passed by.
I think, it's perfect for dates. The fragrance shows how gentle, feminine and romantic you are.
Staying power
It wears about 6 hours on me. The sillage lasts 2-3 hours.
Season
It’s definitely a spring and summer fragrance. It's the scent of love, femininity, beauty and of the time, when birds are singing and brooks are murmuring. You can’t feel the fragrance under sweaters and coats in winter. It unfolds with gorgeous pink and white peony only in warm weather.
I don’t think it’s fair to say whether it’s designed for women or girls, as it’s for everyone. It’s so pure and delicate, that it emphasizes the beauty of them all!
Verdict:
The fragrance is luscious, gentle and romantic! If you’re fond of peonies, the fragrance will be your favorite. As for me, I'd say that it’s the best perfume I’ve ever had
